Just out of curiosity, is there any other True Blood fans?? I've seen pictures of some characters but haven't really asked. I myself is a MAJOR fan! 

Of course, even if I'm bitter the show is nothing like the books!

I heard the book is amazing, haven't read it yet. After the season was over and it took them a year to make the newer ones I was scared the show wouldn't be the same haha.

I love the show, especially on it's first and second season!  I think it has moved away from it's original plot of sticking with the vamps, shape shifters and fairies.  I haven't read the book, so maybe that's how the author intended it to be. I still enjoy it, but am not as addicted to it as before. 

Yeah after the first and second season which was actually based on the book, they had to write new ones so it's kinda 'ehh' lol

Oh there are like 10 books so far lol, they're one of my favorite series =) And yes, in the books they introduce many more characters then vamps/shapeshifters/fairies, but they've still trailed off from the books as well!

I enjoyed it until we got to having fairies? That killed it for me.

I know right.. Didn't know fairies could read minds (Sookie), Tinklebell never revealed this feature (  ._.)

I'm a fan too but I think I was one of the few who was hoping the whiny, bitchy Tara would just die already.

I tried to watch it... halfway thru the 1st episode I couldnt take no more, just as enkidnle pointed out way too much "twilight" for my taste. I really hate what pseudo authors have done do the vampire lore in the last few years, way to ruin one of the best mythological creatures for everyone just so few teenage girls can get off reading about it. Gross.

Just out of curiousity...what makes True Blood like Twilight?

I ask this sincerely as I've seen Twilight perhaps once and most of it I don't remember. What I do remember I remember them being kinda passive and not so agressive. Which is not True Blood vampires in any way. They can be viscous and blood thirsty vampires who actually can die when exposed to sunshine(they slowly busrt into flames) and don't sparkle. Not to mention much more adult. It is HBO, after all. Someone has to be naked at some point. Sometimes naked and feeding on a human at the same time(apparently it makes for more intense sex).

Kpacu don't judge the books unless you have read them. The first series is close to the books, the second was close until it went crazy towards the end. I tried to watch the 3rd but found it so far removed from the books that I couldn't bring myself to watch anymore of it. However as the books come out I buy them as the story really is as engaging as it should be and is a fantastic series. I have to say one of my fav characters from the books has to be Quinn, just for his power alone and his humanity. I don't know if he's been in the series or if he will ever be, but I doubt the show could ever do him true justice.

I agree with Bleddyn, was hoping for tara to just die! She used to make me laugh in the first season, but after that her bitchiness got old! Couldn't stop watching it after the first two seasons, curiosity got the better of me i think!

My favorite character is Russell Edgington and if they kill him easily the whole series to me will be a complete let down.
