It was august the 20Th 1922 and I was fresh off the boat with no where to go and nothing to do. I know very little of this place they call America but all I heard back in my country from some Italians was that you could make it big if you know the right guys or meet the right people,The problem was I didn't know any anyone and didn't know where to start looking for them and even if I did know where to look what was I suppose to do just walk to them and say "Hey I know what you guy's are doing and I wanna be apart of it" That would get me shot faster than talking to the police about them.
So I figured I would at least find a job or some type of work until I meet someone that knew them. So I begin strolling down the board walk passing buy some local business looking around and I come to this place called little Italy where I found this nice little Pizarro,it looked very fancy so i figured this could be where most of the mafioso's would come since it was so beautiful.
I didn't work there long, then I had a little break. A guy walked in one day that looked very familiar so I asked the guy "hey are you from Italy? he answered,"yeah" then I also asked him what part but he did not answer. I told him "you know me your names Kpac, right?" "i'm Richard" remember? he got more excited that I did "well I doubt that" but he was pretty excited, so he asked me how i've been and what i've been up to,we haven't seen each other since we were little, so we had a lot of catching up to do. He was dressed in all of these fancy clothes, the Rolex watch the custom made suit the tie I couldn't believe it, we didn't have this type of luxury, you were lucky to have whatever you you were given and you better had not complained about it or momma would beat you so bad, So then he asked the thing I wanted to hear "why are you working here?" I told him because I don't know anybody, I arrived a couple of months back your the first person i've seen that I know. He told me he knew the guy named Czar, i'll have a talk with him put in a few good words see what I can get lined up for you,I appreciate it. So I give him his pizza on the house.
One day later i'm up at this guy Czars house,what a beautiful fucking place I mean he's got it all the cars, the women, everything, anyone would want what he's got . I have to say I'm impressed, so I meet this guy Czar who turns out to be a real nice guy but at first before I met him I did't know what to expect from a guy in his line of work. Not saying he's a bad guy or in the wrong line of work but defiantly one of those guys you don't wanna bust his balls or anything. So were talking, Kpac puts in a few good words for me you know he's loyal a good guy friend of mine, new him from back in the old country,we grew up together all of that stuff. Next thing I know Czar is welcoming me with open arms saying i'm apart of the family.Czar gives me some money, more money than i've seen, I tell ya then tells me to run a couple of routes . I had to tell him thanks and I appreciated it, i got 30k off of kpac, I didn't need the money. What does this guy do he insisted, insisted i tell ya keep the money I don't need it pay Kpac back and keep the money I gave you. I pay Kpac back and Czar back you know, why? because a guy like this you gotta impress you gotta show that your willing to do what it takes, you pay back more than receive. see right now where I am its not about how much you get no my friend right now its about working hard and given, cause i promise you do this and you get everything you deserve and you will make it. You'll make it big. Any way enough about the day dreaming and that one day shit i'm working on now what i got in front of me.
So immediately I do what I'm told i make a couple moves bat ta bambaataa Bing I got way more money than i started with i'm paying Czar back i'm buying me some nice clothes looking at Rolex's I even got a car can you believe this a car and it seemed just yesterday I was stepping off a boat wondering where i'm eating. Now i'm looking at Rolex's's. I tell you its a crazy world out here though a real dog eat dog but long as you follow the rules your OK you don't i'll be reading about you or you reading about me. The very next day i'm out for a stroll you know making my rounds when I see an old friend on mine antacid. I'm like hey man you gotta meet this guy Czar he is the one that helped me get all of these things.So Czar meets him next thing i know he's got antacid on his way oh man it don't get much better than this boys and gals. I haven't been living that long, in this life that is and I am already loving it and its not much to write about right now but if you like this i promise I will keep you updated..For now I'm off to make new money. |
