She steps outside, breathing in the summer air.. The scent of coffee and vanilla in the air from her newly added bakery. She notices a small crowd starting to gather. People have been anticipating this announcement for days. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. She makes her way down the steps and stands watching those around her. Her guards on high alert after the morning's excitement checking everyone out. She coughs quietly and smiles as she looks up to Flying Pig who is standing by her side. Noticing that her cough did not gain any attention she places two fingers in her mouth and lets out a loud and very shrill whistle. Hi, now that I have your attention. I know many of you are wondering why I am here and talking about Detroit. Well, as has been planned for several days now we the leaders have decided it is time to populate Detroit. Yes, the newest city to our wonderful little world. Taking into consideration that the city is a main arrival point for those new to our country we have decided that the person to lead it must have a drive to help those clueless as to our ways, to set an example, to give the city life and strength. This person should not be afraid to address the public. This person must have a passion that is deeply felt to their bones. This person is Marietta. One of the "reporters" for Tea Time! She nods to her guards and Marietta is brought before her with a blindfold on. Marietta, love, take the blindfold off. I have a gift for you. She watches the young woman carefully remove the necktie from her eyes and wince at the light, a confused look upon her face. Marietta, having you in my family has meant the world to me. You have been there for me when I needed you most.. Even though our ancestors have had their.. Issues? We have always, ok except for that ONE time, gotten on well.. ok two times.. Is it three? Anyways, I know you will stand up for yourself and your city. Oh yes, erm, your city... I'm erm, we the leaders have decided to grace the city of Detroit with your presence to see you give it some life and purpose. She hands Marietta a key and a deed to a warehouse in Detroit and a way to go pat on the ass. Now, take your pompoms and make yourself a new home in Detroit! I'll send you sweets every day. I also won't kick you out like I did Daera.. This is an emotional *sniff* time for both of us. I know you will do well. So without further ado, I give you Marietta, city leader of Detroit! She steps back to let Marietta bask in all her glory.. With clothing on of course. And don't worry about your boobs luv, you can keep them. I'll just "borrow" them every now and then when I need to do laundry. She winks and goes over to her bakery to drown her sorrows in chocolate and coffee. |

Marietta squeals and does a little dance in place. Noticing she's in public she quickly clears her throat and smiles, her face reddening in embarrassment. Um, hello. I just want to say thank you very much to all of the leaders for granting this opportunity. And thank you, so so much, Iris. It was an amazing experience to be apart of Java Cartel, except for that... time of the month. Stares blankly. Anyway, I will make a more formal address in a bit. I have some arrangements to make! Thank you all! She dashes off squealing to herself in an attempt to find the nearest phone. |
