I am a writer; I just recently posted part one of a story in the streets. I don't know about anyone else, but I like to know when my stuff is actually being read. To me, the only way (other than comments) to see my thread was read is to have a view counter on it. Even if it is only viewable to the thread's author, it would help him decide if he's getting any reads at all and if he should bother writing. |

This is something that used to exist way back when and I was always a fan of it. |
