I have a pretty simple policy when it comes to these things. Anyone other than family is completely ignored in the drug pursuit. By giving drug prices to members of other families, you're helping them earn money, thus helping your competition gain an upper hand on you. Thanks for the cigar though. |

Maxie lit a cigarette just to look cool as she joined the conversation. I don't know about your back yards, but there's no money trees in mine. If someone not in your family asks for drug prices sell the information to him. Sure, it helps him make money for his family, but it'll put cash in your pocket too. |

| You might see it as respect but I see it as business and I am in no position to help any but the one I work for. As for hoping I never receive any respect, I'm a little bit shocked to be completely honest. That was a bit extreme to wish upon someone who disagrees with your opinion. | |

I really don't see the need for the excessive language, but it is occasionally irritating when I receive a telegram requesting prices from another family member who does not send in his first. (Which usually results in ignoring the request.) However, I'm free to send anyone drug prices as long as they send in their own when writing the message. Anyone who does not, I usually write off as a rude think-for-your-self(er?). I wasn't aware there were people out there that could have such a violent reaction to the request though, heh. |

We are businessmen and women, Richard. Businesses compete with each other. You are helping the competition to profit. That isn't respect, that is just foolish. The fact that our businesses are illegitimate does not make matters any different, but maybe you would see the picture more clearly if you looked at it from the vantage point of a legitimate business. If you were the CEO of one of the new automobile manufacturers in Detroit, would you give the blueprints of a new car design to the CEO of the rival automobile manufacturer? Now you probably get it. How sad that a mobster does not even understand the nature of our business. |

| Well like Syriana said if they send me there blueprints I don't see where its helpen the other company more than its helping me.I think its helping both of us. I've also helped many of guy's with things that wasn't in my crew I guess that was helping the enemy too in your eyes I shouldn't have done that. I even got friends in other crews I don't see them as the enemy or a rival or other car company. I guess one day they will but until then its whatever man i'm willing to help out new comers or old vets if they need it. I'm not going to be too good for you or stuck up. | |

Lemon stolls to the corner, casually taking of his overcoat revealing the crest of The Red Guard on his jacket I am all for the family business ethos and the rivalry between them. I understand your perspective there JohhnyThunder however that is a very rare case. It is not often you get a mafioso still asking for non-family members drug prices who can shoot. I do not like helping rival crews make money but you cant say the odd drug run will fund a war on us. If anyone asks me for drug prices (aslong as it is done politely) i will send them back the information. I think it builds a mutual respect between us and one day we can call back on our favours. And there we have gained an ally and someone I may ask if i am in need. If somebody asked me money or respect... i would choose respect. |

Loyalty and respect and honor are the top three things a mafioso like me tucks under his pillow next to his gun every night. Without these, you're just a common thief...a nobody! No one likes to be a nobody, do they? They just end up being that old, perverted geiser at the speakeasy every night, drunk, wanting to tell anyone who'll listen their life's story about 'what could have been.' Because without our business, we go broke. So I strongly feel that this subject can become controversial if you let it. Then we end up spending all of our time arguing, rather than making some cold, hard cash! Johnny, I have respect for what you said here. Very level and cool-headed. I can see both sides of the picture clearly and do feel that disrespect has been shown by those that will only message you to report the price of drugs. What are we? Mooks!? I'd like to think not. Secondly, I do feel like it's up to every Mafioso here to make that call on their own. Help a guy out? Or tell him to f__k off! It's all up to us to make this what it is. Lemon, be careful not to get swayed by the eager trying to fill their own pockets. You trust every bum who walks idly by your side, you'll get taken advantage of and not make one cent. Suppose it's a sponsored member who leaves out to dry? Are you gonna take your revenge upon such an unfortunate schmuck, thereby creating a war between his family and yours? Think hard before you just help out every Schmo, if you're expecting something in return. These are my thoughts, and I thank you all for your audience. |
