06:00 AM The alarm clock threw me out of bed. I got used to getting up early since I was a little kid. Sleepy I walk into the shower, a ritual I need to be awake. After I'm dry again I get dressed. It always has to be neat suit or else I feel uncomfortable. After I'm dressed I'm taking my breakfast which would be a coffee and a cigarette. I'm taking my coat and my head and go outside. 07:15 AM I'm on my way to the headquarter to see what's new and to have a chat with some of the members. On my way I walk by some people discussing some topics on the streets. Everywhere I look I see a little crowd and a person who's speaking. If I'm interested I join in. 8:00 AM As I arrived at the headquarter I already see some thugs standing outside, they're smoking and talking. They're like chicken, always loud. They don't know when to shut up. Anyways I nod their way with a warm smile. As I entered the headquarter I see all the familiar faces. They're sitting in the mainhall, drinking some coffee. I smile at my friends and sit down next to them. "Morning guys, how you're all doing?" "Morning Sal, business is going well for you I hope." "Sure, hard work pays." I smile and wink "Some news guys?" "**** got capped, tried to fuck with some big chumps of another family." "Ah well, that's life I guess" With that I empty my coffee "Well guys, gotta do some work. See you later guys." "Sure, we're gonna play some cards this evening, you in?" "Sure, why not." I grab my coat and my hat. I'm off to my little office in the business district 09:30 AM I'm on my way to my office, my father opened it a while ago in the middle of the business district. Small and old but it has charm, I love it. 10:00 AM As I arrived at my office a young man already stands infront of it. I make a gesture to follow me right inside. I get out of my coat and my hat and right behind my table. "Good morning. What can I do for you?" "I want to open a business in this fine city." "I see, what kind of business would that be?" "A restaurant with traditional italian food." "Sounds good, that's my favourite." The young man laughs "You already got a place and the money?" "Yes, sir." "Fine then, get me a concept and we'll talk about the opening." "I already have one." The man opens his case and shows me the plan. I read it through and smile at the young man "I really like your work, open your business here. It's good. Let's talk about it further and have some food, I know the best place for steaks." 11:30 AM The you man and me arrive at Montys Steakhouse, my favourite in Chicago. I recommend the biggest steak to the young man and order one myself and a beer. As we ate we talked about his business and Chicago as a great turf for businesses. After a long while we're done and let the young man go. 02:00 PM The afternoon is the time for me where I go around the business district to see how the businesses are going. To make sure they're going well and to see how the owners do. To most of them I have a friendship as we work together closly. My favourite part of the job as I get to drink one or two drinks for free, great. 07:00 PM It's time for the card game with the guys in the headquarter. I leave my office with my assistant Tommy Sparosi who will join us. As we walk to the headquarter we discuss further business for the whole district and about our ideas. 07:30 PM The guys are already waiting for us. We took our seats and start playing. It's always a good time with lots of laughs, cigarettes and of course whiskey. But as a hard working person I'm not there for too long as most of the guys. I'm getting up early. After a few hours I leave. 10:30 PM I arrive at my flat, I get undressed, I'm brushing my teeth and go to bed thinking about the day till I fall asleep. |
