Open Registration for Organized Crimes Started by: Ricardo_SpadaforaJr on Jul 16, '12 10:04

My Idea is to allow open registration for Organized Crimes.
This idea would entail adding a different way to organize OC’s. Allowing people to search out open Organized Crimes and allowing them to request an invite.

[I saw another thread asking about being able to turn off OC invite ability and feel this could also be a solution to the other problem for wartime visibility, along with the other advantages it poses]

This would make it much easier to organize OC’s. I myself try to organize a lot of them in IRC but it becomes very difficult when multiple Oc’s are going on in the same city. Especially for people ranked under made man. The other problem I find with IRC organization is that not everyone has the same IRC name as they do in game so it makes it difficult to know if you’re accepting the right crime invite from the right person.

It is my opinion that it may be more efficient to be able to see the OC’s currently being organized rather than or in addition to the mastermind seeing a list of people with open timers.

The only negative part I can see to this is that it makes OCs much easier to mastermind, it may not be as close to reality as the previous methods.

My response to that is that in real life if there’s a big crime going down that has a few interested parties – people involved in crime are going to hear about it. Especially the people from the home city and even more so the leaders of that city or the CL’s of involved members of the OC seeing how in the real world you would have to get the go ahead from your boss or the Don of the city.

Report Post Tip

OC's are a good way to make money for everyone involved. Well, assuming that you don't have Poisonous "gang ruiner" Jelly involved anyway.

The more efficiently you can co-ordinate the grunt work, meaning getting people who will succeed together, the more likely you are to get a nice score out of it. Now, there is a lot of tedium involved and some waiting around if you just click the button and see what happens. If you get together with other people you know, other members of your family or your associates, you can get around these problems.

My concern with this suggestion is that it takes away the need for you to meet other members of your family and co-ordinate with them. I understand that there is a lot of random invites that get sent out, but I also understand that some families designate people to ensure the maximum amount of OCs are achieved. An open invitation policy would hinder them and their hard work.

Whilst I understand your logic in opening up the sight to both parties and agree this would make things easier; upon that very basis it isn't something I would support.
