Events that foreshadow Started by: Townslave on Jul 17, '12 23:07

The time on the clock said it was noon. Customers were all over the place trying to find the best sale. It was always busy at this time of the year. Running the business took some knowledge in the design field. Racks were getting emptied by the hour but hats kept disappearing. Kids stealing almost everyday. Townslave didn't mind his business remained profitable. About ready for lunch he held up five fingers to the second in charge of the store. The man gave him the nod while a customer made their way to the counter.

Townslave: Did you find everything okay miss?
Woman: Yes this is all I need to buy for now.
Townslave: Well, I am glad we had what you were looking for.

Townslave rang up all the woman's items and gave her the total. She pulled out a check book and wrote the store a check. Townslave bagged everything up and bid her farewell. As she left an officer entered and came up to the counter.

Officer: I talked to my boss and we are set for tonight.
Townslave: Good, I'm going to need you at my side. What I plan on doing could get me killed.
Officer: If we are careful it will all work out. I will meet you at the place.
Townslave: Sounds good, see you there.

The officer exits the store. Townslave points to the second in charge to let him know he's up. Leaving his post he grabs his lunch from the back and heads outside to eat at a picnic table.

Report Post Tip

Townslave sits outside at the wooden picnic table to enjoy a bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwich. After each bit his mind starts to race going all over the possible scenarios for what he plans on doing tonight. Gambling wasn't really his thing but how he was going to cheat the system was already thought out. The duo couldn't possibly fail if they just stuck to it, he thought. He finished his lunch and went back to work. The day seemed to fly by. A few hours went by and he was done. Townslave packed his things and headed home.

It was about six o'clock in the afternoon when he finally got there and the sun was beginning to set. The sky was orange and filled most of the atmosphere with its beauty. He watched it go all the way down. The sun was completely out of sight and Townslave set on his journey to the casino. Upon arrival he spoke to the doorman letting him know to take him to the backroom because he had prior arrangements with the owner.

The doorman took him to the backroom which was reserved for the high rollers. This special occasion was for the Mafia personnel only. The officer Townslave spoke to at his store was present speaking to the others in the room. Townslave was the last person for this secret game. The officer was holding TOwnslave's buy in which was $10,000,000 worth of credits in a briefcase. He placed it next to the others at the wall. Townslave sat down in his assigned seat and the game of poker began.

The pot was at $50,000,000 worth of credits. He played safe while the other players eliminated themselves. Winning some hands there and losing some as well. The officer had cards on his person and every time Townslave needed some cards he would give them by dropping them down between his back and the seat. Townslave would act like he was scratching his back and grab the cards. When no one was looking he would let the cards he didn't need fall and hide them under the bottom of his shoe. Carefully, he would slide them over to the officer who kept them under his shoe. The officer waited for the right moment and took his coat off and placed it on the ground kicking the cards under his foot under the coat.

Everyone in the room had a pistol at their side. This went on for hours until it was down to Townslave and the owner of the casino and the other players had all left the room. They both agreed that on the next hand who ever won would be able to take all the winnings home with them. It all went smoothly, Townslave and the officer stayed to their methods to ensure that the money would go home with them. When it came time they both revealed their respective hands but it just so happened that they both had the same card. This alerted the owner, the officer and Townslave. All three drew their weapons.

Report Post Tip

Owner: You think you can just leave here after pulling a stunt like that?
Officer: Listen we don't need anyone making the newspaper tomorrow. Let's all just lower our weapons and work something out.
Owner: Not a chance!
Townslave: Do you have a family?
Owner: That's none of your business and I'm not about to level with a thief.

Townslave takes a deep breath and shoots the owner in the chest and leg. The owner's gun goes sliding across the floor towards the officer. As the owner hits the ground, Townslave walks over and kneels down to whisper to him.

Townslave: You should have tried to reason with me.

The owner's eyes go blank. Townslave closes the owner's eyelids and slowly gets back up. He turns to the officer who has his gun pointed in his direction. Shock in Townslave's expression began to show.

Officer: That wasn't in the plan! Give me one good reason I shouldn't throw your ass in jail for life?
Townslave: Your an accomplice to this and we have $50,000,000 over there on the wall.

The officer lowers his gun with awe of disbelief of what just happened. Townslave grabs three briefcases and puts them at the officer's feet. He returns for the last two and heads for the door.

Townslave: COME ON! There isn't much time.

Report Post Tip

The officer snaps out of it and grabs the three briefcases and follows Townslave to the doorway. When they looked at their surroundings it was like a ghost town. The whole building was evacuated. Giving a good look of the clear view all the back exits were easy to spot. Townslave looked back to the officer.

Townslave: Follow me.
Officer: Hurry up and get moving already.

Townslave heads for an alleyway with the officer following closely behind him. Sirens were heard off in the distance. Traveling only a block from the casino they reached a car and Townslave popped the trunk of it. They threw all the briefcases in the trunk and closed it. Looking at each other they knew they couldn't travel together. Townslave shook the officer's hand.

Townslave: You know where I will be.
Officer: Be careful, I can throw them down a false trail on my end.

Townslave got in the car and left. The officer took out and evelop and left his badge on the ground. Placing the envelop under the badge he walked off.

Go investigate the envelop and badge

Townslave got to the airport and met up with one of his long time buddies. He showed his buddy the luggage he had with him and that he needed to sneak it on a plane unnoticed. His friend gave him a nod with a serious face. It was decided that Townslave would be taking a private flight to an undisclosed location. The friend took his luggage and loaded it on the plane personally. Townslave boarded the airplane and went to his next destination as planned. Things were starting to brighten up.

Townslave took his seat on the airplane. There was nobody on the plane but the pilot, co-pilot and himself. He couldn't believe his friend was able to pull this off. The plane began with take off procedures and ascended into the air. Fastening his seat belt he looked outside his window to watch the atmosphere. It was dark outside and when the city came into complete view from the altitude it was unbelievably remarkable. Townslave went to sleep until the plane landed. The pilot woke him up to let him know that they were there. Getting off the plane with his luggage he set out for the Federal Bank.

Townslave got to the bank and deposited his money into his own custom made vault with many numbers and letters in a specific sequence, it was nearly impossible to remember. Somehow he had a way to remember it like it was just all second nature. He deposited the money into the vault and felt more at ease knowing his money was safer. He left the bank to go check out the city.

Report Post Tip

Townslave was recently pickpocketed and is now on high alert and is a little confused as how other people would know that he ran into this money. He thought he did everything right. Townslave got on the phone with the officer and called him over to help think of ways to protect it. The officer went to his aid and they discussed a few things. It was decided that they needed to make sure the money was still in the vault and later they could determine if it was safe. Both of them went down to the back and to the vault. The vault had a keypad on it and the officer counted how many presses Townslave maybe. The officer was confused how in the world Townslave remembered everything he type into the keypad. After he finished pressing all the numbers Townslave said a word and the vault opened. The officer smiled because he overheard what he said. Quickly changing his expression back to normal.

Townslave: So what do you think. Is this money safe here. Am I just paranoid?
Officer: If a thief can crack this vault I would be extremely surprised. How in the world did you remember the sequence you put in?
Townslave: It's a secret.
Officer: I don't think you have anything to worry about. Criminals aren't that smart.

Townslave closed his vault and locked it back. They both exited the bank and went their seperate ways. Townslave started to worry less about his money after hearing the officer's words.

Report Post Tip

Townslave got the eery feeling that something insanely wrong had happened. He checked his watch thinking to himself he still had time to go back to the bank. Running as fast as he could he went back to his vault and entered in the keypad his nine digit code. After entering in the code he said his password into the speaker. The vault clicked and he opened the door. When he noticed what had happened he dropped to his knees and put his hands over his face. He looked up to the ceiling with the feeling of depression. He screams as loud as he can.

Townslave: WHEREAREYOU!

Moments later a monkey jumps out of the vault and slides off his back and walks out of the vault. Townslave noticed the monkey and was blatantly confused at this point.

Townslave: You have got to be kidding me!

Townslave goes home knowing that his money is gone. There was nothing he could do and at this point he was just going to brush it off his shoulders.

Report Post Tip

WhereWasI only a block away hears "Where Are You?!?" and immediately screams while running down the block,

I've been asking that my whole damned life!

WhereWasI sees the monkey catch up and kicks it in the face and keeps running with the money, knowing Technical would never be able to find him in PoisonousJelly's crazy block of Forts.

(OOC: Clearly meant Townslave. I'm so damned confused I can't even read any more apparently)
