| 2 hour wait time for accepting crew invites | Started by: Preacher on Jul 20, '12 04:57 |

I propose that there should be a 2 hour wait period from the creation of a new character until they are able to accept crew invitations. For many experienced players these may seem like nothing but a minor inconvenience. However it will benefit new players by forcing them to remain available for recruitment and provided an adequate period of time to allow experienced players to talk to them and guide them through the process of finding a family that will help them learn the game and develop into a fine member of our community rather than having them accept the first invite sent to them which usually comes from a crew just looking to fill out their numbers. It would also open up the game to more natural IAs as new users that create a new character to check the game out and hang out for an hour will remain unsponsored rather than a free kill to what ever crew leader is willing to send random invites to new people. |

I actually like this idea a lot. Random invites are a bit of a sore point with me, and It can be hard to get people to understand that they shouldn't just accept the first one they see. a delay would allow brand-ass newbies to get a small feel for the place without being caught by the afore said inviters before someone tells them how the world works.
PC, get over here. |

Originally, you couldn't accept an invite until you reached Gangster and 24 hours old. This got knocked down to 12 hours and now we have the situation where we can accept invites right from the start. |
