Re-guarding CA's Started by: Buck on Jul 24, '12 17:15

Ok I'm kind of Sick of loosing 2 CA's considering they 10credits each and you get nothing in return when you come back. with a new account. So I am here to put forth that when you come back a cloaked figure aka one of your old CA's comes to you just like when s shadowy man comes up to with some cash from your father/mother.

Jul 22, '12 00:00 A Cloaked Figure walks up to you and hands you a black bag, winks and says "Bubba's Associates would want you to have this." and walks off whistling. You open the bag and see 150 units of Cocaine.

Ok now there will be a limit of course of say 300 or 200 units that you can receive, as it wouldn't be fair if you saved all your units up from day one and where planing on selling them on like few days to make loads of cash. And its not like your going to need like 5mil straight away when starting off just at most 1mil. For 1 BG and the rest for drugs and maybe a range or 2.

Now also there could be a chance that it was a sting operation to find out if your officer was crooked or not in which case you would be arrested but you wouldn't loose all units as it could say something like

"FBN Agent Smith through the bag into a dumpster and made a run for it. But was tackled to the ground and arrested along with you and sent to jail"

now I'm still trying to figure stuff out so if anyone else has any input please share as 2 heads are better than 1...etc

There'd have to be a scalable percentage put on to this to decide how much you got depending how long you have left of your CA before you died

Report Post Tip

What should happen to a CA after the owner's death has already been discussed here: http://mafiareturns.com/comm/thread/253225

As stated by Squishy:

I have no problem making the CA's bound by master account, but I would severely have to cut back on the profit that they make to keep it balanced

Report Post Tip

That the risk you take with buying a corrupt agent, you need to think to yourself "Will I be alive in 30 days to make this worth it."

Report Post Tip

I agree, a CA can't be a risk free purchase.

Although, maybe combine the ideas and make them bound by master account, but if you did die and your next account inherited them, THEN the profits would be cut significantly, and cut even more if you died again and reclaimed them?

Just to clarify, you would get the same profits as normal on the account you buy them on, but if you die, then you take reduced profits.

Report Post Tip

As mentioned in a previous thread by yours truely, why not bound them to the master account then if a person dies, the next account gets the CA at half the original time left. This way they still get SOME return on their 10 credit investment.

Report Post Tip

Tbh IMO if they are bound to a master account well then that's not a really bad outcome. As I have noticed that for every feature in this world there is a positive and a negative to everything. so by having it tagged to a master account will just be a win win situation as you will be just continuing on from where you left off.

Which is why I posted above to have some of the units you had on the CA be carried over just like some of your cash. as there's that guy who walks up to you and hands you a envelope and says "Buck wanted you to have this." and its only like 20% of the cash you had on hand. if even.

so by having the same sort of thing with the CA's units would be a positive and negative feature. so if you been saving your CA's units for e.g you saved 300. you would only receive like 60 or something. and if you had saved from day one of getting your CA and died day 30 of it being alive you would have saved 1240 units roughly. but you would only be able to carry over like say 500 at most so you would only receive 100 units from that CA. but if you done that with 2 CA's you would then receive 200.

Report Post Tip

I'd say buck's idea is a solid one. It means that your not gonna lose all of what you get if your CA bites the dust, and it also adds an enement of stragy to your use of the CA in how much money you really want to sell for.

I'd say a smaller cap , between 60 and 100 my guess, but i like the idea.
