Idea suggested by Wacktard consists of integrating the notes feature with the contact list like shown on the link bellow:

While everybody seems to like the idea there are divided opinions about this feature being only available through timers package.

Quality idea, and since the notes are part of the timers package bring it in with that.

I'll actually twist it the other way.

Since contacts is a free for all feature included in the game, in order to integrate notes to it, I would remove it from timers package and make it available for every user.

But to add it so that it works without the timers package the coders would also have to remove the notes from the timers package as the suggestion is to use the first line of notes under the profile.

The other option would be to have an editable field between the name & the remove link.

Alright we have a few options. Take away the addition of notes on the timers package which people pay real money for to gain additional helpful features which don't give a definite clear advantage that would completely ruin the game. I'm not exactly for getting rid of stuff that people pay to get.

Keep this suggestion for another addition to the timers package, this option is viable.

Have special notes limited number of characters allowed for everyone to use, that way it doesn't affect notes on the profile already. We have to realize that most people won't add the people they have nasty notes on their profile for to their contacts. I'm in more agreement with this option and it could be placed exactly where PC-Flash-Fire stated.

It really comes down to what the timers package is meant to entail.

I thought the timers package was a few time-saving features, like the locals highlight, locals tabs and the popup timers, rather than for basic things that improve the visual appearance of the game.

If the timers package is going to include basic features of the game, which give no advantage or benefit at all other than visually, then I would suggest all features be included into it from now on. The standard non-timers package of the game works fine and is easily playable. Mixing in advantageous and non-advantageous features just seems a bit untidy to me.

As to the feature itself, no complaints, seems solid. I would like to see it introduced to the standard game package.

Actually PC-Tech my next suggestion was going to be along the lines of a 2nd type of contacts that doesn't show you've added them and show's a different colour on the 60 seconds list. This would be so you could add people you want to kill or just keep an eye on.

I think the 5 credit timers package is a "make your life slightly easier" deal.

It offers things that save time more than anything else, along with timers.

The ability to search forums - This saves time compared to scrolling through loads of pages looking for a post.

The ability to write notes - This saves time rather than sitting with a notepad by your computer and searching through it.

So if that is what it is meant to be, and non-advantageous features are being included into it, like notes and search forums, then lets include all new features into it, including this.

Can we get some further PC opinions on this feature and prospective implementation options?

I would like to see the notes implemented, without being a timer option, because as tita said, you don't need timers to have contacts.

Well notes are already implemented and timers are required to use them. This suggestion was simply to show the top line of the notes next to a contact (if you have the person added).

I understand that. And I am saying, I originally supported the idea of being able to make a note next to a contact, nothing huge, just a space for an irc name or something to that effect. I also think that it should NOT be included as a timer benefit, because contacts are not a timer benefit.

I am with Cassiopeia on this one and would prefer to see this implemented as part of the contacts feature.

I think the profile notes and the contact notes should be completely seperate, with the contacts notes not being a part of the timers. {You never know, seeing how good contact notes are might spur some people to buy the timers, to get more extensive notes for each people as well as other benefits, this can only be good for the game right? More revenue for potentially better hardware?}

{Just as an FYI, I'm more than ready to take it to a vote if everybody else is. If we could say when we are individually ready to vote, it might speed the process up for a couple of suggesstions that don't require a massive amount of discussion.}
