There currently is no notice of getting Mapping except for when you check your personals. For instance when the message/alert goes out via Twitter that means there are 10 MIA's left to spawn before Tyler hits our shores. When someone purchases a MIA and it being one of the last 5 before the spawn, there is no message saying you have received Mapping unless you check your personals.

I'm just suggesting coding a message when you spawn one of the last MIAs, giving you the link to Mapping, or letting you know you have it. Instead of going thru your personals and finding it there. Only reason why I brought this up was due to the fact I tried getting mapping and spawned WAY too many MIA's unknowingly having mapping already in my personals.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure you get a longer message when you spawn the MIA which is an indicator that you got mapping.

Yeah I spawned 10 MIAs with no message saying I got mapping. I checked my personals and it says Mafiareturns has given you a free gift, which is the mapping...

I am with flash, the one time I got mapping the message I got when I spawned an MIA was longer than normal. Think it was something about getting a brief case or something of that ilk.

And no it isn't the airport Tyler incoming message.

Does your icon not light up to notify you of a new personals notification?

PC-Flash-Fire and PC-Nino, that message only ever shows if you redeem the mapping gift you get, which you can later activate from the mapping page. And it does light up, PC-Grin, it does so with every MIA spawn however.

I think what MikeHunt is trying to say is that he would like to see some sort of message on the Contracts page, maybe below the "Success! xxxx has been spawned in xxxx." message. Rather than having to go back and forth between personals and the contracts page to see whether you have gotten the mapping/gift while spawning a MIA. Maybe "Congratulations! You have received a mapping credit." could suffice.

Or do away with the gift seeing as we have mapping credits now, bring the message back to how it used to be and instead automatically add the mapping credit to your mapping rather than having to redeem the gift for it to be added? Either would work, I don't really see a huge problem with the current system, although I can understand MikeHunt's problem if he spawned 10 MIAs before noticing his gift from MR as the gift message isn't as long as the original mapping message.

I think it's because he is pressing F5 to refresh the purchase of an MIA. Also 10 is more than required, if you have seen the twitter message the maximum you would have to purchase is 6 before you got mapping.

The whole purpose of spawning those MIAs right now is to get Mapping for my City. Its really a race these days to get mapping, to get one of the last 6.

So when I spawn them, I'd just like to know I got mapping before I spawn another.

Sounds like part of the risk in trying to be one of the last 6 to me. Check your personals after each one and potentially miss out on mapping, or keep spawning and potentially spawn too many.

Either way, the system in place seems adequate to me.
