I'm liking this. Would be easier for mailing a group of friends with the same information.

I did intend on creating a suggestion like this once the Contact's/Notes had been decided.

I would suggest a group where you can add contacts where the person you added doesn't know you have as well.

Not too bothered about the colours, etc. But i'd definitely be happy to be able to mail a certain group of contacts just by clicking a button rather than typing all their names in individually.

enkindle.. maybe use symbols instead of colours for contacts?

Obviously it doesnt have to be these symbols but... +, -, x, *, & (have to make sure they're all common symbols used on most computers/laptops). If someone is in more than one of your groups then it will just show 2,3,or 4 symbols next to, or above their name (on your screen).

Copy & pasting 60 seconds list isn't a problem, only takes a few seconds to copy to notepad and replace all symbols with nothing.

Myself being one of those as I'm colour blind :)

I can't see the difference between normal users and users in my crew, they look almost identical to me. Tt's only when i turn the brightness up on my laptop that i can make out the difference between them.

As far as the mass mailing side of thing goes, I assume the reason you wouldn't want to give every user mass mail abilities is because of spam, right?

How about making certain contact groups work like a friends list. You have to add them to the list, but before they get truly added, they have to confirm that they are ok with being on there.

There can be other groups that don't require confirmation, but you won't be able to mass mail to this group, mass mails will only be available to groups with confirmation enabled.

This would be a nice addition to contacts. Worth a shot.

I might be very late to this discussion, but I think it's a good idea. We're discussing contacts, would it be possible without adding every member, to highlight fellow members of your home city? Yes I'm aware that I can add each person, but having them all show up in a off shade of the current green, or any other color i think would be a nice addition.
