Daera walks out of his office, smiling grimly as he notices a few new bullet holes marking the exterior, arm in a sling, still a bit ginger after the attempts on his life. Good afternoon, everyone. This recent war has brought about many changes. Most notably, to me at least, the loss of my captain Branston to a new city. I am tremendously proud of Branston, our family lines have not always gotten along, but since I have gotten to know him, I could not have asked for a better man by my side. So congratulations to you, my friend, you have truly earned this. This leads, however, to a loss for myself. As with the departure of Branston, I find myself Captainless. This, however, changes now. Shagggyd is not a member of a famous bloodline. He is not someone who relies on coffee shop friendships to get ahead in life. He is a man who has worked hard, and been a valuable member of my family since I first met him. I believe in new chances, in new opportunities for those who have earned them, and Shagggyd has earned this. It is my privilige... my HONOR... to announce that I am setting Shagggyd up as my captain in New York. We have lost much with the departue of Branston to Chicago, but we have gained much in return. A new chance, for a new day. |

Waits till Daera and Iris finish speaking before he has his say "I must say it's refreshing to see some one chosen for their hard work and dedication, and not for their Family line. Oh Fuck. Fuckity fuck fuck fuck! Does this mean I'm going to have to do the earnings reports myself now? BAH! On a side note: Congratulations mate, you have worked hard for this opportunity, and I know that if you put that same effort into your family, then you will do just fine! |
