| A sad sad fate | Started by: Suna on Sep 02, '12 01:41 |

Tired and disheveled. Suna wearily drug her feet as she trudged along the streets of Chicago. For the last two days she had been beating on doors and searching the world over looking for a new home. The bread she had received when she stepped off the welcome train was long since gone... her stomach rumbled loudly. Alas, the only person who had honestly spoken to her about work, Zephr, very quickly left the country without ensuring her a place to lay her head.
She had been told that things would be difficult, but all she was finding were closed doors.
Ready to sob, she whispered, "Will someone, any one, please offer me a place in their headquarters. I will work hard, once I have slept and been fed."
Desperate, she curled up on a box that she saw laying near an abandoned building. |

A sad sad fate indeed when someone is invited to join a family but they refuse to accept. |

Innocence, I am certain you are not the only one she had refused. I merely invited this freshie to take part in a crime. You know, something casual. And was denied as well. When I confronted her, to be sure she knew she was welcome to join us, she promptly laughed in my face. This tells me she not only was experienced enough to know how to accept or refuse such an invitation, but didnt care enough to take part in our way of life.
I feel no remorse for this "gangster's" death. As far as I'm concerned, a civilian took a wrong turn and fell victim to a proper mobster. |

I was witness to the death of this poor lass. She was babbling something about how amazing Innocence was, and her supreme regret that she had spent all her time, traveling across the country through the other populated cities instead of taking a flight directly to Los Angeles. Perhaps things would have been different. |

I'm going to cast my vote that she was bat-shit crazy. But maybe I'm just old fashioned. |

"My wager is that her parent told her quite a few stories when she was growing up, that she took to heart. She set her heart on something that simply wasn't available and was as stubborn as a mule. Now to laugh in a crew leader's face over something life saving is.. Well, questionable, to say the least. A sad sight t' see th' lass was killed, but in this line of work of ours, is it really out of the normal view to see this kind of stuff? I would wager no, but I could be wrong, so I'll say perhaps. Good day t' y' all."
Darkant bowed slightly at the small crowd and walks down an alleyway. |
