Disrespect gets you a five knuckle shuffle. Started by: -Leo- on Sep 19, '08 11:17
I would like to take a moment of your time fellow Mafioso to tell you a story...

It was late one night in Philadelphia, the heat was killing me. I had been sweating all day and I was on my way to the club that Don Iris owned to collect some cash. I was strolling along with my Bodyguards a few paces back, so they wouldn't crowd me. As I approached the club I passed the allyway which runs behind it, I heard some scuffling. I assumed that someone was in some trouble, and as a good mafioso does, I went in to make sure none of my fellow Mobsters were in any trouble. As I entered the ally I told my bodyguards to make sure noone followed me and proceeded in. As it was behind the Club I knew I wasn't in any immediate danger.

My footsteps echoed through the darkness until I was close enough to see what was going on. Two, from what I could see, gangster had a third down against the wall. Punching and kicking him, they where yelling something about respect, honour and loyalty.

"Hey, who the fuck are you?!" One of the two yelled at me.

Being in my nice suit with well styled hair I could see how I would look like a normal patron to the club.

"Watch your mouth Kid, your talking to one of the family here." I said in a calm voice and took a few steps closer.

"So, who is this guy, and what did he do?" I asked rather casually. Glancing down at the bleeding man, whom was quietly begging me for help.

"He's just some fucking punk, an associate of The Java Cartel."

Straight away I drew my gun and took aim at the gangster.

"Who the fuck are you to be touching one of my fellow Mafioso?!" I yelled at him, he put his hands up and took a few steps back.

"C-calm down mister...We're from the Java Cartel aswell!" he stuttered, I couldn't quite grasp what was going on. Surely if Don iris had wanted this guy to learn a lesson she wouldn't send someone with alittle more experience, someone whom knew how to deal with this. Straight away I knew Don Iris hadn't been involved in this at all.

"So, tell me then. Why are you pounding on one of our own? surely you didn't get orders from Iris to do this." I lowered my gun slighty as I spoke.

"Well...No we didn't get any orders, but this guy was being disrespectful to us, so we took him back here to teach him a lesson." The kid lowered his hands and puffed out his chest alittle, Cocky shit.

"if you didn't get any fucking orders to teach this guy anything, what gives you the right?" I asked him, rather annoyed at how much Bravado he was showing.

"My right is that im a mobster, I deserve to beat the shit out of anyone who I don't like, gives me less respect than I want or I just happen to dislike the look of." He said with a small grin.

"That isn't how this world works my friend." I said with venom.

"If we just attacked anyone we felt like, then we would be in chaos. What if one day you hit a Made man?" By now my bodyguards had come rushing down the ally after hearing me shout.

"What the fuck are these guys looking at?!" The cocky fucker said towards my bodyguards.

I whispered in my bodyguards ear Teach him a lesson about the family.

As I walked away I heard the quivering voice of yet another gangster who had to be taught that you don't randomly pick fights about respect.

Every few days, I get a new mafioso come up and shake my hand. They always say to me "hey you remember me right?" and I shrug.

"I'm that guy you had beat up for having no respect all those years ago. I think without your little kick in the ass I would be swimmin with some fishes right about now."

Now brings me onto my next part, Everyone says we have to have a light touch with new mafioso. They are new, give them a break.

But when we take this approach we create softer, less 'House broken' Mobsters. Alas if we take the firm approach we scare them from our shores, where is the balance?

Asylum slides his pair of brass knuckles back into his right butt cheek pocket after helping -Leo-'s bodyguards beat some sense into the punks.

Respect makes our world go round, my bloodline has learned this many times. If you look around these streets you see many Made Men, Capos, Bosses, or even Consiglieres. They got there off of Respect and hardwork. Then again they're just passing out the Don badges around here.

Asylum chuckles.

Okay I kid on that one. The point is, remember Respect and you'll always have a family with you and behind you in a fight.

Asylum put's his trench coat back on and puts his dualies back on his ribs. He says in an energy drained voice.

Balance, the balance is... alcohol. Then again the balance may just be different for all. Some kill over rules. Some kill over hatred towards ways one talks. Everyones different, but mine is alcohol for now.

Asylum goes into the bar.

The cocky young punk was wrong in stating that he was a mobster. He was just some wannabe working for one of our Mademen. All these associates do is run around and collect protection money, maybe knock over a liquor store, and bring the cash back to the Made. Someday, maybe, he might be able to rightfully call himself a mobster.

Until then, he's just some punk beating up some other punk. Who cares? Boys will be boys. However, you did teach him a valuable lesson that he had not yet earned any respect. At least not the kind of respect he thinks he has earned.
