So, if I picked your pocket and then returned the money, you would be ok with it??? |

Several people already voiced their opinions in a very efficient way so I'll just add a "vote" to the people that think that we shouldn't care if a CA is PPd since it takes nothing away from the player. |

Agree to disagree I guess. But like Lannister, I get a little kick PPing those who claim unfriendly but take from my CAs ;) |

I pp CAs and don't care that people pp my CA. I don't pp real people and wish real people wouldn't pp me. I don't see how that's inconsistent? I wouldn't care if people returned the money but my experience has been like 90% don't. |

I have a very narrow view in this area. |

Being 'PP unfriendly or friendly' in the first place is ridiculous. This is the mafia, as one person above said, we don't go around with signs on our chests. Having 'not pp friendly' in your quote just makes me want to abuse your pockets that much more. Unless and until we are allowed to shoot PP'ers who don't repay, this whole concept needs to go away. If you have a living body in this world, you are suspect to getting your pockets picked. Period. If you see me in your pockets, I am suspect to getting mugged. Simple really.
In essence, I guess what I'm saying is, it doesn't matter what your quote says or doesn't say. If your pockets are open, they will be picked. |

I agree with Bomb's great grandson. I don't think a person who is not PP friendly should be PPing anything at all. That would be highly hypocritical. Although on the other hand I will never care a single bit if my CA gets his pocket picked. It doesn't take away a single penny from my pocket and it's more time consuming to go around inspecting and making sure no PP unfriendly people pick my CA's pockets. |

Alright, I'll concede to that. I'd rather see the quote then have a spamathon. |

Ultimately, it's impossible to compare the pickpocketing situation to the real life mob and an analogy is going to be totally impossible. Most aspects of the game, to be honest, are wildly unrealistic. Benjamin 'Lefty' Ruggerio was, for decades, one of the most feared hitmen in the New York Mob - most sources attritibute him with 26 murders. On here, that's not enough to even 'max' your gun.
For me, the 'RP' element comes in with how you respond with your character to these IG events. What makes the game exciting is that, if you want, you can reinvent yourself and play the gam in a different way every time you die.
Similar to Tetley, I use PPing as a platform to emphasise the importance of the 'made' + ranks. If you're below made I will PP you without your permission; and if you PP me without my permission, I will mug you regardless of whether I did it to you first and regardless of whether you send me money back.
If you're above made, I would always ask your permission, and I'd never pickpocket you.
That's because in my view there aren't enough opportunities to express the fact that made man is an untouchable rank. In real life, before you even hit a made guy, you had to sit down your boss, hiss boss and get the nod that it was an ok thing to do. |
