| Grave Robbing Enhanced | Started by: SquidMaster on Oct 04, '12 17:52 |

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I come to you today with an interesting thought that some of you may or may not enjoy. In our community, Grave Robbing is considered a low life thing to be doing. I mean desecrating someones tomb for their valuables isn't something any established man or woman would do in their lifetime; at least not by my thoughts. |

I like. Would it be better if the sponsor found the grave, and then invited their associate to do the labor? |

As long as the rewards are kept pretty low I like this idea, Adds another dimension to the game, I'd like to see the Made+'s role expanded properly so there is an option to obviously succeed or fail but also to succeed but have your items stolen by a mobster (the game eats it up), therefore you can do the graverob on your own and have a decent chance of being robbed in return, but if you choose to involve a Made+ in it then the risk of having your loot stolen drops dramatically as they're on the lookout for you.
One question for me if the latter was implemented would be... if someone robbed a grave without a Made+ and their goods got stolen, would they lose the exp gained from the intial graverob too? (For the record, I think they should)
Also agree with the tip idea for a high value target. |

I do like the high risk of a failure scenario over lower payout. Makes more sense. As for XP, if you fail, you fail. |

I'd definitely like to see this idea implemented then.. if a fail is a fail in terms of XP then I'm in. |

Also, from a playing perspective... I have never and will never use the graverob feature since it was introduced but if this was implemented I'd probably use it myself and I'm 100% sure I would help out anyone who I sponsored do one. |

I think this would be a great way to implement another "shallow" feature to the game. Some features strike to the bone, such as mugging and so on. |

Should it only be between a sponsor and his associate? That would still leave many higher ranking players unable to grave rob. I know it makes more sense RP wise, but in my opinion the main goal of this would be to give made+ a way to grave rob. I personally think that any made+ should be able to work with any noob in the same city. MAYBE same crew, but for GF crews that may be too restrictive. |

Could you make it so that if you're in a GF crew you can do it with anyone in the city, but if you're in a regular crew, crew members only? Or is that getting too complicated? I'm really liking the way this idea is fleshing out. |

I think a GF should be able to, as PC-Cassiopeia stated, invite anyone in their home city and anyone else would have to be invited by family only. |

Hmmm, no, that is not at all too complicated. And it makes sense that a GF crew member has a little more sway in his\her city. |

I understand the concept of bringing in the sponsor, but I think this needs fleshing out a little more before it becomes a believable act that they would be involved in. |

Grin, I believe I have already stated something along those lines in the original posting.

I believe you did as well. You also stated that the sponsor could "possibly watch in case anyone "tries to steal the valuables" angle, which I don't think is realistic. Made guys don't stand lookout whilst some deplorable character digs up a body to rob whatever they happen to be carrying. That to me is not believable at all and well below the status one would expect of a soldier. |
