| Deleting Crew Chat | Started by: Darkhawk764 on Oct 07, '12 05:34 |

Have you ever logged on one night and noticed a message that you have absolutely no idea what it meant on the crew chat? And there wasn't anybody on to explain to you what it was about? I suggest making it possible to delete the message (at least from your feed). |

The crew members are not allowed to delete for a reason. If it is that bothersome, your CL and either of the hands have the ability to delete, I would just contact them and ask them to remove it as it has no current relevance. |

I think the issue here is more a case of it retaining the message longer than it should. For some reason the last message is cleared after the set time (15 minutes I believe). |

Sometimes it does stick, I've had that occur before. I think this might be a bug fix rather than a suggestion. |

As far as I have seen, they only stick when they are the last thing to be posted. If you post something, anything that hasn't been said in the last 15 minutes is deleted. For example: I write 4 lines, all in the space of 5 minutes, and then nothing else is said for 7 hours, these 4 lines will stay there as they were all within 15 minutes of eachother, and nobody else has posted. If I now post after this 7 hours, the previous 4 lines all get deleted. |

Its definitely retaining them more than it should. 15 minutes is default. I just need to figure out why its doing it. |
