| Presidential election.who will you vote for? | Started by: Costello on Oct 08, '12 02:41 |

You're entitled to your opinion, but imo, a vote for either Romney or Obama is a wasted vote, neither are good for this country ;/ |

The only way to waste a vote is to vote for someone other than the person you most agree with. Voting in national elections is *JUST* a matter of expressing your preferences. The way our electoral system works, even if you are in a swing state you have a much better chance of being struck by lightning this year than your vote mattering. Trying to game elections is a waste of your time because your vote *does not* matter. So just vote for who you want. |

While neither are good for this country, one of them will be the president sadly. |

Ha. That we can agree upon Rag. Is up to us voters to change that in 2016 though. The props and people we vote for on Tuesday help us define who gets elected 4 years from now. Congress is broken. Before we can fix the US as a whole, we HAVE to get rid of the partisan BS. Up to the people for that. |

Outkast - so right! Have to fix congress somehow. Hopefully this election will begin the process of fixing them. |

No doubt. Right on with 'begin the process' too. Nothing is going to be righted overnight, but if we get the right folks to actually do their jobs, we'll get there eventually.
Tbh, I care less about the presidency than the propositions in Oregon, Washington, and Colorado to legalize recreational MJ use. |

Well, Obama wins. Interested to see how many of his policies actually make it through Congress with the Repubs still holding the House. |

They did indeed. It is not official yet, Congress either has to approve, or Obama can state that the vote results were a clear majority.
Colorado and Washington also passed legalization of Marijuana for recreational use. 2 more states approved medical use. Going to be interesting to see how much the feds get their panties in a bunch over this one. |
