Hitlist: Fix it or kill it Started by: Macho_Man on Oct 19, '12 13:54

I have always loved the idea of a hit list and it is very unfortunate that the current one we have is essentially pointless. From what I understand the only reason it would be used is when you have to kill someone who has been offline for a couple hours. Now that is just annoying. I did like it when awhile back the list was being used to place ridiculously large hits on key players in the game. Fine examples of that were the hits against CrazyNine, Roman and Chade. They always created some excitement in the air as well as a bit of tension. Made things interesting. Another bonus was they got rid of millions of dollars out of the game especially when the hit was bought off for double the price. I recall Roman having his hit bought off in a few hours if even that. Chade on the other hand invested substantial amount of real life cash to get rid of his hit. There is another bonus there, more money being invested in the game. For some reason the admins didn’t like people putting so much real money in the game to get rid of these hits. Made them feel guilty or some shit. No need to point out the obvious flaw in business management there. With the new feature placed on the hit list it pretty much never gets used anymore.

What I would like to suggest is the feature of having to pay 1% per day of the initial hit be removed. Also implement that regardless if the hit is anonymous or not if the person who places the hit dies it stays there. This would be great if a person is about to get beat in a war they could send one last “fuck you” to their enemies and they would know where it came from. Also the base price should be increased to 10mil with + 1mil per rank. Anything less would be bought out so fast it would just be pointless and barely make a mark on the total game cash floating around. Also increase price for the hit to be anonymous to 5mil. Make it mandatory to leave a reason for they are always fun to read. Remove the fact you need to place hits on people if they have been offline for a certain period because that seriously makes no sense.

I feel this would once again make the hit list more useful especially as a tool against your enemies when say you don’t have the gun power to mess with them but have the money. Not to say the money would encourage people to take the hit but hell people do stupid things for 100mil. But if people don’t like the idea of fixing the hit list then just remove the damn thing. As it stands it is just pointless and an annoyance which has no benefits to speak of.

These are just quick ideas in my head nothing really original or amazing so if anyone could come up with a better way to utilise the hit list then I would really love to hear it.

Thank you for your time

I'd say this is a good point. The hitlist serves so little purpose that until i read this, i pretty well forgot it existed.

So i'd say a revamp is in order. the ideas proposed here are pretty solid to my mind. I'm in with this one.

I very rarly post in these suggestions however this is something i would love to see being used yet again and on a more regular occasions as it is these days.

In what way i have no idea but it would be a good thing to get back in again aswell as taking some money out of the game.

Users are more than welcome to post any hits that they want. If it's not being used, it's not really a game issue, more a player issue. Also, I don't think increasing the base price to set up a hit would really encourage players to use the hitlist more often.

Report Post Tip

They are not welcome to post any hits. If someone wanted to post say 100mil on one of the top guys they also will have to up keep it with 1 mil everyday. Who would want to do that? Most hits died down once the 1% thing got introduced. The whole idea of having to pay 1% per day of your hit makes no rational nor realistic sense. Increasing the base has nothing to do with encouraging players but more making the hits a serious deal by dealing with much larger money. As I said before small hits just disappear by being bought off before anyone even sees it let alone take a chance on the hit. Considering the hit list was being used prior to the 1% introducing and now it isn't id say that is a game issue. An introduction of a ridiculous feature.

Report Post Tip

I beg to differ with your opinion. It is actual fact that any player on this game is more than welcome to post any hit that they wish. There is absolutely nothing keeping a player from posting a hit, not even your example. If they want to post a 100mil hit on someone and pay the 1mil a day upkeep that is their choice. Just because that is an outrageous figure thrown out there by you to try to make your point look better doesn't mean they are not welcome to post a hit. Just because they may not want to pay the 1% per day doesn't mean they are not welcome to post a hit. Also, the 1% is only if you want to post the hit anonymously. So again, they are more than welcome to post a hit without having to pay the 1% per day as well.

Report Post Tip

That of course should have been posted on my PC account, as I had to switch over to see the hit list to make sure I was correct about the 1% only being on anonymous hits.

Report Post Tip

In the past few days I have seen several hits go up for "disrespect" and from the looks of things 1 was bought off and the other the person elected to have someone kill them for the money.

I think the system should stay how it is.

Report Post Tip

I don't like the 1% per day feature, but I don't think you should be able to hitlist someone indefinitely if you get shot nor do I think increasing the base price is a good idea.
