Why are obits posted in irc?

my suggestion is only post inportant info like street threads and so but not obits.

since if a kill was made in philly it should take some time for people in New Yourk to know and that's why the obits page is for

In case of war if one earner or higher is killed then the game will instantly know that in irc which is not logical

I am not a fan of the IRC notifications either.

Wasnt there discussion, or a plan of action to remove all obits but real people from irc?

even real people obits also should not be posted there... what's the point?

Ragnarok, I think there are a couple of threads about notifications which 'should' or 'should not' be removed from IRC.

I really think all game related notifications should be removed from IRC and be posted in the crew/ city chat. But like Jabruu says, out of a roleplay perspective they shouldn't be all nationwide.

My question to any of the Player commision, do I have to bring up a new suggestion, one that combines earlier suggestions into the one I stated above?

I would say that a majority of the most active players use irc. we have the mafiareturns bot in the city/crew rooms. It's very well set up in my opinion. I dont really see a single valid reason to take out ALL of the in game notifications. How would that make anything better at all?

I feel removing all notifications from IRC would lead to a discussion 'Ingame use of IRC', maybe we should keep it simple for now. Why not put all IRC notifications in the crew/ city chat too, and leave them on IRC as well till we all agree on removal from IRC or not.

They are currently discussing adding IRC notifications to crew chats.

DFP notifications, not all irc notifications are needed to be on crew chat, people who die show red so no need for notification of that the also doesn't need to be a notification for new street or OOC threads.
