The days of our fathers Started by: DJ_Hazard on Sep 27, '08 20:49
Its early one Sunday morning and Hazard is walking down the main street in Chicago. As he moves past the different shops he peers into the windows inspecting what each had to offer. As he did so, he had one ear open to the many gangsters speaking in the road. They all wore very nice suits and Hazard listened intently to what they each had to say. He also spots a few posters with important information concerning the underground world. Hazard took it all in as he mused through the alleys.

As he started to walk out of town back to the family HQ, he noticed that alot of the talking in town was similar. He carried on walking and pondering until he reached a conclusion on what he had heard that day. At that point he turned on his heel and headed straight back where he had come from.

On the way back he spotted an empty fruit crate and picked it up carrying it to the bussiest intersection on the main road. He stopped and dropped the crate trying to get a little attention. He moved it around with his foot untill he was pleased with its positioning. He clears his throat as he steps up.

People People People. How is everyone this fine day?

The sun had started to creep a little higher in the sky and it was going to be a nice day

I would like to speak to you today concerning the nature of speaches at the moment. Everywhere I go I see the smartly dressed population preaching about the good old days. I see a history quiz on the greatest events and people in the mafia world. People's reputations. And even topics like "who is your favourite ancester?".

All this talk of the different eras got me thinking. I find myself looking back in fondness to times, as most of us do, of the Scotland and Anita era. Or more recently in the reign of the great Oliver_Mactavish.

There are obviously times that were not so good for alot of us. My family have always talked of the times under the rules of DiscoDuck and how they were hard and uncertain.

It has also got me thinking of all the times before my bloodline even landed in this country. The great leaders that I have been told about while my ancestors were still in the fields in Milan.

Essentialy, im asking, what was everyone's favourite period of gangster history in the long long lifetime of the mafia?

I agree that this world is still a little big young compared to the world that was before it that was pretty much like it.

Names like Ratskocr, Insomniac, UncleNicky, Ganleon .... those are all great names that come to mind. The list can go on.

These are some of the names that should be passed on from generation to generation. Names of some people that have done things that will never be repeated.

If your generations no nothing of these names then consider yourself just a child.

My cousins famiglia, la casa Giaquinto, introduced me to Our Thing.

I remember growing up hearing the tales brought one from father to son, spanning generations. My favorite was the fabled December War, led by Morbid Angel.
