Reward for killing an MIA Started by: Goku on Oct 20, '12 12:35

I wouldn't say raise it by much Flash-Fire, IF that were to be way to go. Just enough so that it happens more than once on a character? Or as some people have said they haven't seen it at all, so they even question it's existence. Just as a compromise to this suggestion, because I don't really feel comfortable rewarding a player with cash for every successful MIA kill, when they're already paying for the hit.

Report Post Tip

True and very understandable, But maybe it wouldnt happen every successful kill. What if it could be atleast once every 3 MIA`S..

Report Post Tip

I just got here and maybe I'm not qualified enough to talk about it, but what is the point of a, say 50k reward if you have to pay 500k to get it?

Report Post Tip

SevenVirtues the whole point is your paying 1 credit for 1 kill on your gun stats, the easiest way for the admins to add this with a roll play aspect was to have it a contracted hit hence people wanting a reward. Maybe it should be looked at as your family want you to take care of someone & the RP's that suggest it's being done as a contract killing for money simply be removed.

Report Post Tip

Imo, I thought the 300k would be removed completely if my suggestion were to be implemented.

Report Post Tip

I still like this as an idea, but I misunderstood initially what was being suggested.

I wouldn't mind seeing the messages tidied up into something else that meant there should be no financial reward. I don't think many direct orders from a superior of "take out this guy" for instance, would carry a monetary element.

Report Post Tip

Granted, my initial suggestion was a bit lacking in explanation, as it was one of my late night whims I just happened to actually post.

Idk Grin, Mobsters were paid for their work, Whether it be a "payday" or just a cut of the profits or whatever. If the boss could count on you, I would expect that check be a bit bigger, but seeing as how the payday feature is unlikely to ever be used, I think that would be ignorant to try.

As it stands, remove the 300K random reward, give out a reward of somewhere from 5 to 30K or so, amount donesn't really matter, as long as it reflects the message you receive upon MIA spawn.

Also, the MIA message where the kill is personal, and off the books, this kills was for you - that message would not carry a monetary reward for that kill.

Report Post Tip

I still don't like the idea of you paying for a kill and then getting repaid for it every single time, I think that is a bit redundant. Why pay for a kill that you're going to basically be refunded for every time? That is silly to be honest. If we weren't paying a credit for them, then sure, be paid for every hit, but it really doesn't make sense to me to pay you for a kill you're paying to get.

Report Post Tip

Refunded? I don't think that is even remotely close what I am suggesting. Right now the cheapest credit on the marketplace right now is roughly 475,000. If we were to get back, say 30k, for example(the max I suggest) that is about 6.4% return. And that's the maximum. I don't think getting around between 1.2% and 6.4% of what you put into the MIA back is being refunded for your purchase.

Report Post Tip

I didn't say refunded completely... You're asking for money back every single time you use something that you're already paying for... To me, that doesn't make sense. As I said before I'd be more comfortable supporting a suggestion that would up the chances for you to receive the 300k as a bonus. But the way you're suggesting it is basically you want to pay, for example, .95 of a credit for an mia.

Report Post Tip

Yeah, some of the dialogue doesn't make sense... I think they should toss some money back... 25k or something... However, I don't think it should be enough to help balance out the credit issue. I've gotten 300k a few times, and that has been nice. But I think that should be scarce.

Report Post Tip

Isn't there already a reward via the achievements for this kind of thing? Combined with the chance of getting mapping, plus the chance of getting the 300K or so mentioned by half a dozen others, is there any tangible value to implementing this?

Report Post Tip

Personally I think there are already enough rewards for those that shoot MIAs, which have already been mentioned previously.

Report Post Tip

Then perhaps the dialogue just needs a small amount of revamping.
