Yes, there is a god. Not many gods just one god. He is a great man that created us in his image. We all try to be like him but its not as simples as you may think. We are all flawed, but by being flawed we are perfect. It does not make any sense you may think but let me explain this to you. We are supposed to mess up, we were made to try and be the best that we can and he wants us to mess up so we can learn all the lessons that we can learn before we have to pass in to the other world, of heaven, or for some Hell. Thats why we do what we do. We want to keep ourselves sane enough to relize that living here is just a long test that we are taking and trying to pass. So by being good and doing good things we will pass this test.(By the way to pass this test all you need is a D- at the end and relize your mistakes.) We will be faced everyday by challenges and all we have to do is ignore the devil and his evil words and we will pass the test and be in heaven forever. AMEN |

Wouldn't it make more sense if we were just created in the condition that we are supposed to reach once we "learn the lessons"? Why should we have to learn them? Couldn't this powerful man-god you pray to just create us in the condition he wants us to be in? You preach like you know the truth, but as is true with most gospel, there is no logic in it. As I've explained repeatedly, you don't know the truth. We don't know anything beyond our immediate existence. When you are indoctrinated to believe these fairy tales, it is scary to think that they may not be true, but why? Is it so blasphemous to think "Hey, this doesn't make any sense. There may be a God out there, but how can Man understand such a great being?". That is much simpler to do once you realize and accept that the stories of God and the Bible were created by men, as evidence by the many contradictions and logical fallacies contained therein. A powerful creator would be perfect, and there would be no contradictions or logical fallacies. |

Hi, I'm certainly not claiming the truth of any other posts on here, but I would take issue with some of the statements you've made. For now, I'll consider your most recent comments. You say that it would "make more sense is we were just created in the condition that we are supposed to reach". Surely you're not dismissing the power of free will? Your claim that we don't know anything beyond our immediate existence is also false or misleading, as anyone who has ever read a history book or been separated from someone they love can attest. I don't consider someone who is "indoctrinated" by religion and doesn't think about what they believe as really exercising their faith, just their habits. And I would think that it's far from blasphemous to wonder about existence. The stories of the Bible may have been written by men, but the Bible is not a science book. It's a living time capsule of how men, for thousands of years, have tried to figure out where they fit in in the universe- for that, it is a fascinating and potentially illuminating resource. If you're trying to get your science from there, don't bother.... but why are you trying to get scientific information from a 4000 year old book? (I apologize for any mistakes contained in this post- I'm on my way out the door) |

The holy bible presents us with a God who created the world and all things contained in it, the winds, the waters and all creatures and human beings. I don't believe there are many other gods and if there are what qualifies them as gods? Some religions have a wind god, others a water god, others a sun god, and still others point to gods derived from nature. The God who created the universe existed before everything and everything was made by Him, so this cannot be the god of the wind because He came before the wind and created the wind, He cannot be the god of water because He existed before the water, He cannot be the god of fire because He already existed before fire and the only Proposal presented of a God who created all things is the one presented in the bible. And if the God of the Bible created all things and yet revealed himself to people, surely this is the only true God. This is more than my opinion, it's the purest truth, if you don't believe it, analyze yourself and conclude for yourself.
