I was thinking that maybe God Fathers should not be allowed to recuit straight of the streets.

In RL or Mafia times you would have to prove yourself to be that close to the top of a family. This should be no different.

Now some people may say (well I know this person) he/she just died from a WB or whatever. I say bull, this is a new character and should be treated as such. Have them prove themselves again. If you die do you not have to go through the ranks again. why should anyone get better trearment just because their last character knew a GF.

This is going to be like the hand positions being made + argument. It's a matter of personal preference, I'm not sure that there should be something coded or made as a rule that a GF crew can't recruit any person that they want. Even basing it on RL mafia, a son or daughter of dead crew member would more than likely be known to the family and want to be taken in.

The Mafia is all about preferential treatment and our role play here seems to stem around every character being related to their previous one. In that case, whilst I agree that it is unlike a rookie would slip directly into an upper structure position, they could easily be looked out for.

It is difficult as our RP isn't the best and our family structures are not ideal. Still, I don't see a big issue if the leader wants to fill his family with the same people over and over.
