| Mums and Chops Appear Fine | Started by: ThomasRourke on Oct 05, '08 23:26 |

Well all, it's been a long two days, but it appears we are winding down on this wondrous thing we call war. I'm happy to report, that after mass casualties, our mums and chops appear to be bruised but not broken. The failure of three Dons who had arguably 3 out of the 4 best guns in our world to seal the deal will be one remembered for a long time to come. Now I can't say for sure what exactly will happen for the rest of this war. Messy could pop Marietta, and everything will be over there. However, that doesn't take away from the abysmal result for those 3 poor Dons who decided to tango with far superior and experienced opponents, proving I guess, that it's not the size of the gun, but how you use it. It's been a sad, fun, amusing, ride. I think we all recount the arrogance of the trio of Dons as they made two very presumptive proclamations in these Streets (indeed, a 300% increase of their previous presence in our world). Perhaps a lesson to future fighters: Wait until after the egg is served or else it might wind up on your respective "chops". So now we have quite a choice between future leaders of our way of life; there's Marietta, the scrappy girl who dodged death at every turn, and whose lineage has already won a war of this almost exact ilk in the DiscoDuck battles. In the other corner there is the controversial Messy whose lineage has historically had the work done for them to achieve rank. Hrm, I wonder who the popular choice is? (I truly don't know, looks like an even split) One can't help but draw comparisons to very ancient Godfather Anita during the periods of war where it seemed everyone turned on her and she still triumphed. Of course not everyone made it through this war effort: Soon to be Godfather Iris and Dons Daera and Shagggyd joined Mont, Branston, and Caligula in the obituaries. Where this journey takes us we don't know. What we do know is this, 3 Dons attacked first and failed. However, despite the irritation of it all, I applaud the effort. Taking out any consideration as to whether waging this war was right or wrong, it takes guts to want to impose a new way of life into this place. So for the effort I doff my cap, although I am glad all 3 lost everything they had worked for. So for now, we wait to see this war draw to some kind of close. One way or the other, with the striking down of Caligula, it's been proven that nothing in this life is set in stone. |

"Messy could pop Marietta, and everything will be over there." Or Marietta could kill Messy, 'cause he's so MESSY!! |

| It seems to me, that killing any more high rankers at this point is absolutely retarded. Killing either Marietta or Messy and Froglike would cause a massive scale of Cls - Members. There would'nt be enough room, and it would be an absolute disaster. So, stop the shit. Marietta, you killed the last remaining don other than yourself. I guess that counts as a good shot. But now, what we need is some damn rebuilding. Not more shooting. | |

I think you meant `SMEXY` there Eeps. Your right though Thomas, no one knows what will happen at this point, but I must say, this is one for the ages! Granted a lot of good poeple were lost, but I'm sure once their offsprings look back on this day, they will be glad to have been mentioned. Rest in peace to those who have Fallen, and let's see what else this unpredictable world has in store for the future! |

| Magnum You have to realize that As long as Messy is alive Marietta Is at Risk? This is Not over just because the originals are all dead. It will continue until the threat is eliminated one way or Another. Many may be Dead, But this war is not | |

Magnum there already isn't enough room for everyone and it's already an absolute disaster. Where have you been? Under a rock? They can't just lay down their guns and trust each other on a truce! We aren't in third grade here. There aren't teachers walking around moderating us. |

ThesaurusRex angrily stomps out into the street. In case you hadn't noticed, Magnum, there is a war going on. I'm sure that others will have already stepped up to alert you that it would be idiotic for either one of the armed combatants to withdraw at this stage, but I will add this: If concern for the homeless is your utmost priority, perhaps you should direct your infantile fit in the direction of the gentlemen who saw it neccessary to start this snafu, and not to the woman who rightly seeks to finish it. |

Boo hoo? They should have thought about that before they decided to try and grab power. Fuck em all, I say. |

Magnum, great speech, but I dont think that's going to cut it. Someone with "In your Chops" attached to themselves, do you really have a debate on what happens? Granted rebuilding is always nice, but so is victory. One way or the other this will be settled I'm sure, I just don't see it being in ways of cease fire. |

You know, I would listen to this drivel and think of the community if it were not for the following things: One, Branston, before I was even coherent enough to fully comprehend the situation at hand, was coaxing my late Left Hand into believing that we were not going to be targeted. Less than ten minutes later, Caligula shot at me (and thankfully missed) without warning. Two, I have had half of my family decimated, along with watching the families of the Dons of Philly and New York fall one by one. The aggressors in this war never ceased to stop, so why should I? And three, they are still shooting at me. Why would I stop? I may be considered too 'nice' to be in the Mafia, but I will tell you this. I take threats on my life and threats upon my family very fucking seriously. The second they decided to shoot at me and kill two of my Consiglieres, Branston, Caligula and Mont forfeited any form of 'wiggle' room I could have spared. You mess with the bull, you get the horns. I pride myself on being a fierce protector. As much as I would like to think of the community in this instance, I cannot help but think what Branston said to me earlier in the coffee shops, as he and his cohorts were slaughtering my family. "We need to think of the (community)". If he had truly believed those words, he would not have made this blatant play for power with his friends. And so this is why I continue to fight, and this is why I continue to kill. I will not be satisfied until all those who have shot at me or mine are dead. Toodles. |

Let's be grateful that you helped put them the.... wait. You didn't actually do anything did you? Just another pathetic piece of crap running around trying to take credit for other's actions when, in reality, you're too much of a loser to ever accomplish anything on your own. I'm still waiting for examples of Branston, Caligula, and Mont's INCREDIBLE speaking presences since you appear to be under the impression that your dead messiahs did more for this place than anyone else in the history of ever. |

I love irony! Yay, lets talk ironically!! Ipooh, would it be ironic if someone was criticising the street presence of someone else, if, just for arguements sake, that person's father, great Don he was, hadn't made a speech in the street since, and this is all hypothetical, since he authed his Captain ShagggyD over a month ago. I ask, would that be ironic? Perhaps not actually, more hypoctrical? |

| Rhuarc, here's the problem with drawing that comparison. Street presence has always been linked with people looking to change something they believe is wrong or to get authed into being a crewleader. None of the three Dons seemed particularly unhappy about anything or argued for or against one topic or another. So it is fitting and amusing that the ones who had stated nothing publicly in ages were the ones who decided to play guns so poorly. | |

When was the last time your father made a street poster, Rhuarc? Ever? When was the last time Branston made one? Caligula? Mont? My father may not have MADE posters, but he was active both in the streets and in the Bars. I'd rather make a few street posters about things that are actual concerns and points of discussion than 238813510 street posters that are the same, tired, rehashed garbage that keeps getting thrown around. |

I just went and looked, actually. Your father did make one, so I apologize for saying he hadn't. Branston made a poster 20 days ago. Caligula made one, announcing Mont's auth, 20 days ago. He also made one announcing his auth a month ago, and has made no street posters other than those two. Mont has never made a street poster. Not one. Gee, my father sure was the mutest mute in the history of mutedom, wasn't he? |
