| A question to ask yourselves | Started by: StonedSilent on Oct 06, '08 05:09 |

Since the fall of Messy moments ago, I have already been confronted with a mass amount of invite requests coming from various Mafiosos. At the time our Family is at max capacity so I would be unable to help them if I wanted to, but I must ask myself, would it be an intelligent move to accept those who have been fighting against you for so long? Some of which managed to survive the brutal 48 hour war. So for 48 hours they proed and stood by those they were responsible too. I understand and honor them for sticking with their Leaders. Though the majority had the option too join seperate Families far before the birth of Messy's family to begin with but they decided to fight for the cause. Some spoke negatively some remained silent. I personally won't be taking in any Mafioso remaining homeless from the death of messy due to the lack of space, not because of a decision based of this point. I'm not saying this is the same for other Families around at the current time, you may attempt them as well, see if you get the response your looking for. Keep in mind, some Mafioso's ancestors had passed during war, but their son's and daughter's still took the same path. I ask the masses, what is your opinion on the matter? Do you feel Mafioso from an enemy Family could be trusted enough to be housed? Would those Mafioso work as hard for your Family as they did for the Family that was warring you for so long? I think it gives those who have never held the responsibility in having ability to choose who not or who to accept into Family, a chance to think about it. You may be dealing with it some day yourself. I just feel it's an interesting topic to discuss and would like hear any and all comments. |

At the beginning of this war, I told my Boss "If you die, I die with you. I'm not joining anyone else." And I meant it. If you're not willing to die with your leader, you have no business being in that family. You have no loyalty. Why would some other leader want you? You're only concerned with yourself. This isn't about living the longest. It's about honor and respect. Personally, if they asked me for an invite, I'd shoot em between the eyes. |

Roger's ears perk up as he begins to talk. Everyone feels differently on the situation but I have these beliefs which some have, some may not. It's acceptable to invite them on terms of; being asleep during the war, not shooting at either side, taking one-two demotions, and are no higher than the rank of Earner. If they're Wise Guy and were asleep for the war, some crews may invite but demote and make them prove themselves. I wouldn't personally take someone if they had shot their gun at a member, hold the rank of Wise Guy or above, or showed no effort of finding home else where. The reason for not taking someone Made Man and above especially is because it's when you become a true figure for that family that you represent. When you join a family because yours died in can be seen as "crew hopping" to some. These are just how I see some of the things. You have to remember, all situations can and most likely will be different. Maybe, play it by ear? Roger pulls a carrot out and walks down the bloody streets to find his home for some rest. |

The Riot is full. If we had space we wouldn't invite members of families who fought against us. Go down with your ship. That's what loyalty is. Regarding the lack of space for all the homeless, they can thank the careless actions of the men who started the war. They obviously didn't give a shit about this community when they involved every family in their war. Thanks guys. |

| What about the ones that landed on these shores during the war? I don't relatives who had heard of a siblings death and travelled across for revenge. I do mean the ones that registered during the war by chance. | |

I'm sure if my boss could buy a HQ big enough to take in all the new blood or people who arrived here by chance, as you said, she would, but unfortunately she has the largest HQ available and it is full. Once again, they can thank the people responsible for starting the war. |

In my opinion, the first question should be "is it proper for a mafioso to apply to a foe family after his/her family fall?" My answer will be NO. They should struggle 'till the last drop of their blood. Loyalty is something that applied until you die. And the second, "will I invite any of them in my family?" The answer is No. It's not a proper thing to do, it's a disgrace to my family & the fallen-family. It's another thing if the applicants are the off-springs of the fallen families. They may be welcome as long as they're willing to be loyal to the family. That's my thought. |

I fear, too early: for my mind misgives Some consequence yet hanging in the stars Shall bitterly begin his fearful date With this night's revels and expire the term Of a despised life closed in my breast By some vile forfeit of untimely death. But He, that hath the steerage of my course, Direct my sail! On, lusty gentlemen! |

Loyalty is a funny thing. In my personal opinion and the way I have always done it is, if I die during a war, I always come back to the family in which I died in to see it through. I HAVE NEVER died and joined the opposing side. To me that is like a slap in the face to the leaders who brought you up from nothing. Now I Don't expect everyone to follow this...why would they? Some People get offered their own crew and forget what the true meaning of friendship and Loyalty is. That to me is a Coward at it's best. Most people will do anything for that 'tiny' bit of power. but I ask you, is it worth it? Is spitting on your friends and your CL worth the crew? If it is, then I am afraid you do not hold the trait of loyalty. If you are unhappy with the way the war goes then sign back up and dont rejoin a family. Don't go and join the opposite side, Like I said it's like a slap in the face to the people who brought you up. But hey not everyone is expected to be loyal, if they were you wouldnt see people jumping sides and you wouldnt see people HQing families as a RHM. *shrugs* To sum up my ranting and raving here, I would die 1000 deaths before I ever returned and joined the opposing side in a war while my leader was alive. I personally see that as a sign of disrespect and disloyalty. Maybe you do...maybe you don't but that is my opinion. Now after the war is over feel free to join whomever, but if your leader is still alive and you join the opposing side, well then Loyalty is something you dont posses. "Do you feel Mafioso from an enemy Family could be trusted enough to be housed?" Simple answer..NO! If a leader dies and his members want to join another family they should be killed for the fact that they were just warring you a minute ago and could have gave two shits whether you died or not. Now all the sudden they want to befriend you and join your side...Does that not show disloyalty right there? But it is only my opinion, and means nothing to anyone else but I thought I would share. |

I'm of a funny disposition on this. I was with Iris and when she fell I joined Cab_Tufting. The reasons are simple, we were both in Iris' family together. If Cab hadn't set up and there was no other option I personally would not have joined another family. I don't believe in jumping from family to family after a leaders death in a war. To those who are leaders at the minute, while homes are important the safety of family is more important. It'd be a tough call trying to decide who to take and not to take and is one that shouldn't be taken lightly |
