| Wackback death on Online Players | Started by: WildTurkey on Nov 27, '12 18:41 |

Just another quick suggestion. Recently we have all seen that WB Death has been taken out of the game. The one fleck of fear that ever hitter felt before loading up for a race is now gone. I just had a quick thought while I was sitting bored at work. Would it be possible to have WB death available if you are shooting at someone that is online? Say if someone is pick pocketable, or on the 60 seconds list, I don't quite know how it would be gauged, shouldn't their be a chance they fire back and kill their attacker? You are shooting at an armed mafioso so it only makes sense that there should be that chance. This would effect every player from Godfather to Gangster. Obviously this wouldn't apply to MIAs, RIAs, NPCs, or Offline people. I am strictly speaking that if the character is "conscious" the chance should be there. This would allow people to train up without the fear of WB death, it would effect everyone equally as in wars Godfathers typically shoot as much as the rest of their hitters, and it would bring some risk back into firing your weapon at a person. Just a quick thought! |

Well, generally, my opinion concerning wackback death right now is to leave it alone. However, I'd be open to further discussion if anyone else wants to add to this, Mr. Turkey. |

I just feel as if it makes sense. People who are conscious (in real life) always have the chance on getting the upper hand on their attacker. If someone is armed with a gun, and per chance sees someone coming at him wouldn't they not try to fire back? |

Unless I am mistaken, wasn't the feature that got passed by the PCs on wbing include that you can still wb death on active players? |

i think all durdens, ca's and actual playing characters should give a risk of wb death. CA's and Durdens can already shoot back at stages if shot at(or any cities ca's when shot by an outsider) and if you miss an actual player someone should come for you. So makes sense this way to me |

A vote has already passed on tapering with WB reintroduced on real accounts. |

I understand that a WB death measure was passed with the tapering system. My idea is just a slight tweak of this. As I understand it WB death is on all real accounts as Flash-Fire said, online or not. I want to suggest here we nerf it a little bit and only have it be an option when firing upon someone who is currently online. |

Well with death WB only being 1% and only on real accounts I don't think there is a need to lower the chances even further. |

I'm with Flash on this one. I think that the chance of wackback happening on only real active accounts is low enough already, I don't think it needs lowering even more to being limited to only people online. |

Wackback death has been cut out at a pretty large level. There was huge controversy over just getting rid of it on NPCs. Lowering it even more so that offline accounts cannot produce a wackback would be an unwelcomed idea in my opinion. I'm glad wackback has been nerfed and tapering introduced - but I don't believe decreasing it even less would be a good idea. I'm open to hearing more reasoning on why it should change but for the moment I'm against this suggestion. |
