The Cosa Nostra. How did you become involved? Started by: BigBoss on Oct 07, '08 19:40
It's a dark and stormy night. No one would dare be out in this crazy night. Not unless they have a death wish or is a member of one of the crime families. BigBoss walks slowly towards the bar up ahead. "I rather go slow and get wet than to go fast and get shot." He thinks to himself. The bosses have all come together and decided that there will be no killings. Too much bloodshed from the last war. BigBoss chuckles. "I will follow orders but that doesn't mean I am going to be stupid about it." BigBoss walks with one hand in his coat and the other on his gun. There may be a law out about no killings but he cant be sure if other idiots will follow the law. Better to be safe than sorry. Up ahead BigBoss hears the caw of a crow. BigBoss shivers and starts walking faster. BigBoss is not the superstitious type but he has always been wary of crows. Ever since that day...

BigBoss finally arrives at the Bar. "Goomba's bar", what a weird name he thinks to himself. BigBoss walks in and is greeted with loud music, beautiful women, and cigarette smoke. Big place with a stage for the dancers in the center. Tables all around the stage with a bar in the back. BigBoss looks around and sees in the back right corner three individuals with nice stripe suits surrounded by an army of body guards. He looks closely and sees that the three are Marietta the Detroit Crew leader, Cab_tufting the New Orleans Crew leader, and Doyle... BigBoss' boss, and other crew leader of Detroit. He sees them talking amongst themselves. "Hmm, must be discussing the housing situation.." BigBoss thinks to himself. The trio glance over at his direction. BigBoss tips his hat to the Bosses. BigBoss walks over to the trio to pay his respects. One of the guards steps in front of BigBoss. "I am only here to pay my respects." Says BigBoss. Doyle signals for the bodyguard to let BigBoss through. BigBoss hugs Doyle and kisses him on the cheek, "Good to see you boss" says BigBoss. BigBoss greets Marietta and Cab_tufting as well. BigBoss walks away to find himself a table.

BigBoss notices a table in the left corner of the club opposite from where the bosses were sitting. He notices a few people at the table. Some from Mariettas crew, some from Cab_tufting's, and some from his own crew. He goes over grabs a chair and sits down.

"Well well, good evening ladies and gents. How are we today?" says BigBoss

BigBoss lights a cigarette and asks, "so what brings you guys here on this lovely evening?"

"Laying low from the cops. They looking for a guy that looks like me... I never did it." Says the fellow from Mariettas crew

"Better than being home with my wife. She is always nagging" says a fellow from Doyles crew.

"What brings YOU here BigBoss? You don't look like our type. You look more like a doctor... how did you even get mixed up in this life?" asks a fellow from Cab_tufting's crew.

BigBoss chuckles as he blows out smoke from his mouth...

BigBoss stays silent for a couple seconds... and then he begins...

Well... long story short... my father was a drug dealer and my mother was a crack fiend. It's a hard thing to say but im not going to lie to myself that is what she was. That is how mother and father met. Through a drug deal. My father's name was Lio Donnelly. He was one of the Donnelly brothers. His brother was killed by mobster Fat Clemenza. I don't know why... don't really care. Anyways, my mother... beautiful lady but mixed up in shit. Her name was Eva Perocino. I don't know if you guys remember the Perocino family but she was the daughter of the Don. Don Faustin was his name. When I was born my mother decided to stop doing drugs and get her life straight. She became a nurse. That wasn't enough for my grandfather Don Faustin. He disowned her for becoming involved with a drug dealer. He hated me too because I only complicated matter between he and his daughter.

My father was as I said a drug dealer. He dealt every where and he showed me the ropes. He taught me... buy low, sell high and sell everywhere. He used to say everyone was a potential customer. My mother hated it when I used to go on drug runs with him but he always stressed that it is important for me to know how the street works. That they wont be around all the time. Anyways my father supplied half of New York, half of Philly, about a quarter of Detroit, and some parts of Chicago. As the years went on I noticed my father was becoming more and more paranoid. He always used to say that my grandfather was after him. One day I come home from school to find police and an ambulance at my house. I rush in to find my mother in a body bag. Apparently all those years of drug abuse have caught up with her. She died of heart failure and too many cigarettes. Apparently she had developed serious emphysema.

A week later my father comes home screaming bloody murder. He comes home drunk, and screaming, "I curse the day that motherfucker was born!." I was scared of course. I have never seen my dad like that. My dad stops when he notices im in the room. He goes up to me and grabs me and tells me..." Don't ever become a rat son. Never break a promise. Your word is your bond." He looks at me, gives me a hug, and tells me to go to bed. So.. I do just that. I didn't want to get a beating.

The next day I wake up with a bittersweet feeling. It is Sept 14, my birthday and I turn 13 today but I wont be able to share it with my mother. I get up and get ready to go to school. My dad is already waiting for me in the car. Oddly enough I notice there is a black crow on the roof of my dad's car. Strange I thought. I get in the car and put on my seat belt. My father looks straight at me, smiles, and gives me a box wrapped in a bow. "Happy Birthday" my dad says. I smile back and say "thank you." As he is about to back out of the drive way a black car pulls up behind him and blocks the exit. A man in a black suit and a hat comes out with a shotgun in his hand and starts shooting my dad. My dad quickly grabs the gun from under his seat and starts firing back at the man. Successful. My dad managed to kill the motherfucker but unfortunately it was too late. The man sprayed my father with too many shotgun pellets. My father was dead. I sit still... not believing what just happened... crying until I hear sirens. The cops were on their way. Quickly I get out with the box my father gave me and run. I stop for a min and look back once more. That damn black crow is still there! I turn around and I run and run and run until I cant no more. I managed to get pretty far without being caught. I stop at an abandoned house and go in for the night. Crying. I take out my fathers gift and open it.

Amazed at what I saw. It was a note with 5 big rolls of money and a handgun with bullets. The note read,

"Hello son... happy birthday... if you are reading this then you might be confused as to why I gave you this much money with a gun. There is something you need to know son. Had it not been for your mother I would have been dead by now. The only reason your grandfather has not put a bullet through my head was because it would completely destroy your mother. He may have disowned her but he still loved her. Now that she is dead, well he has no reason to have me or even you alive. I only had one more ace up my sleeve... the other families. I would deal drugs and sell drugs to their members for a cheap price so I had some leverage. Your grandfather cannot kill me unless he had a good reason. Otherwise the other families would be displeased. Well he finally had a reason. A capo by the name of Momo went states. He ratted out everyone... me, your grandfather... the whole fucking crew. Only Faustin did not know this. He knew there was a rat somewhere but had no idea who. Momo... the genius he is decided to put the blame on me. Told Faustin he saw me talking with cops and im the one ratting people out. Faustin had his reason and put out a hit on me. I know any day now he will come after me. So just incase son I am giving you this gun for protection and money to have a roof over your head. Remember what I have taught you son. YOUR WORD IS YOUR BOND. I love you. Sincerely, - L. Donnelly, The Boss"

That is how I got my name. My father was also known as the boss. After his death I moved to Detroit and started dealing from there. I took over my fathers business and became more successful than he did. So, I came to be known as "BigBoss." As for my grandfather he died in the Great War against the Bonano brothers. Him along with the whole family. So war is never a good thing in my business. I used to sell drugs... not firearms. After Iris was shot, and branston and the rest tried to take over I knew it wasn't long before I wound up dead. Everyone was dying. I needed protection. So... after I proved myself to Doyle. I was allowed to work for him.

BigBoss lights up another cigarette and looks at the table as they all stare in disbelief of the story they just heard

So... we weren't all born as capos, or wise guys. We made choices in our lives that influenced our future. How did you guys get involved in the life?

Execellent information about your entrance to our criminal world sir. Me, well I remember a very very long time ago I was walking down the street when a friend named 'Cav' introduced me to drug running and petty crime!

Ever since then I have been selling cocaine, murdering mafioso and spending a majority of my time in the casino.

Day dreames...thinking about him winning the jackpot and flying away to an island away from all his enemies..

Sits down and hands Matos_Black and StripheCorelli a shot of wiskey

The pleasure is all mine Matos. As for the casino... never again... I lost $10,000 there once. No need to repeat that mistake!

You won't need to worry about a measley 10 grand if you keep your drug running skills up to par man :)

takes out $50,000 from his coat pocket and sets it on the table.

The drug business is up to par. That wasn't why I was saying never again. I am just simply lousy at gambling! :)
