I feel that as the game evolves there will be more different and unique personal events to follow... There are already enough categories to span the entire screen so I feel that a search and download should cover it..

The way search works anyway if you're looking for a type of event like units you could just search 'nod' and presto they all show up..

I think if we keep adding cats/subcats it will get very ugly very quickly :/

Generally I would like to stear clear of cluttering it up... Maybe you could have one list with a sort function instead? Dropdown or something in your options page even? Just fearing that with the diverse activities MR could gain, that there will be an overflow of 'categories'. 

Yeah it's simple enough just to have a search feature and the CSV download. I think that's all that's needed.... Once you have a CSV, you can find whatever you're looking for pretty easily.

I would say not. Its still unclear what exactly is to be voted on here, whether its the CSV download, a search feature or both or even additional catagories for the events page?

Personally, I think a search feature would suffice. I have minor concerns with the events page due to some items not having a category but I think that could be addressed in enkindles OOC thread about little things that bug us.

enkindle also said that adding search and the download option would be somewhat straightforward (or not terribly hard to code, I think was the phrase), so I guess on thinking about it I would say we simply vote for both options to be added?

I think it seemed like both. CSV is simple enough to set up. The search could be useful and might speed things up for us. etc. 

I would only support the search option, but I will set the vote however you guys wish.

I think a CSV option would be a great idea, once downloaded you can sort it how you want so for instance want to count how many PP's your on then you download the PP personals and sort by name and remove any that don't start "You PICKPOCKETED!"

Majority thus far seem to favour both csv option and search. I propose the vote is called for both options to be added.

CSV and search, both is the best option IMO. 

I think the 90 day deletion should be removed also but have them deleted when a character dies {or 48 hours after for those times when someone is DD'd then brought back an hour or so later}.

There is a 90 day deletion, I have always wondered if there was a criteria to missing out. If we are doing that could we get a mail to remind us that personals need downloading!!

I believe (but could be wrong) that they removed the 90 day deletion for certain personals (money and wacks?) to be for the length of the account. The reasoning was that accounts last much longer than they used to.

In summary this feature was meant to enhance the meaning behind personals and how it may be easier to go through and find things inside of your personals documents. We have discussed these details now and I believe a search bar and CSV download screen are the appropriate actions to be taken, as PC-Whitey has said.
