Just a thought I have had during the commission of stealing art.
Wouldn't it make the proccess a little more interesting if we knew what we were stealing. Since we already have the pop-up saying that the theft was successful, it would be something to add another line saying that we have assisted in the theft of a Piccasso or some other equally specific painting or work.
Modern art even would be good. On the lossing side you could say something along the line of crayon or stick drawing.
Just a thought. Would change the aspect and make it a litlle more enjoyable. |

I was getting a very bad deja vu feeling there and had to check down the board for a similar suggestion. Just realised I read this elsewhere! |

Not really thinking about a value but just putting a face so to speak to the operation. Could theoretically even be a forgery I guess. I have to believe this would have come up before, it just makes a little difference in the concept of stealing if you know what you have gotten for the effort. If it's a worthwhile idea. I don't know. I'll leave that up to you all. I personally would laugh at getting a stick drawing tho instead of just leaving empy handed. |

Yeah I see what your saying; but when you receive an amount of cash for the job then this would surely equate to the object stolen. You wouldn't expect to receive a bid pile of cash for stealing a drawing by Phil Steak and then the same amount for stealing a picasso? |

No I wouldn't but the by the same idea, the fact remains if you did manage to steal an original work off art at that time. who would buy it off you. the work of art would probably be so hot as to be unmovable. The idea isn't nessasarily to increase the value of a job but to just give it a face so to speak. In todays era of knock-offs,it is common but back in the 30's if you stole something valuable you took what you could get. I don't think orr believe that that should change. If I am my thinking is correct, the value given for these jobs may be sufficient already when you consider what art value is today. It may even be over valued if you think about it to hard ( considering the value of a dollar today to what it would buy in the 30's). I think you will find you don't have to change anything. |

Just as an aside from the above. Stealing a drawing from MR. Steak would be classified as probably not running a successful job. So to speak. |
