We will be getting our new servers in our datacenter in mid to end of January. When we get an exact date we will give you guys as much notice as possible. When we switch over hardware there will be a few hours of downtime until we are up and going again.

If anyone is curious, our new hardware is as follows:

16 Cores @ 2.5Ghz, 24 gigs of ram for the role of nginx/Varnish/PHP/Memcached/Nodejs, split between two nodes in the blade server.
16 Cores @ 2.5Ghz, 48 gigs of ram for Percona's MySQL, split between two nodes in the blade server.

Each blade will also be able to perform the roles each of the others, in case of failure of any one blade.

Our current setup is 4 Cores @ 2.4Ghz with 24 gigs of ram handling all of the above roles. So as you can see, this is a big step forward as far as horsepower and redundancy.

We look forward to getting this change in hardware in place, so that we never really have to worry about downtime due to hardware issues, or site slowness during backups. This will also open up a lot of potential to turn on a lot of features that we have wanted to, however were unable because of the amount of extra overhead it would cause. You'll start to notice these new changes soon :)
