Well.I don't know if its a good thing or a bad thing.  It appears that the hockey gods are smiling semi-favourably once again and we will see the little black disc being pummelled around sheets of frozen stuff once again. It would seem that my dearr Toronto Maple Leafs will loss there winning ( none Whinning season) and face the prospect of being in the basement once again.  Still I am looking forward to it.

Since I was disturbed in my earlier discourse on the return of the boys of winter( not to be mistaken for the boys of summer ), I will attempt to continue witha little reminisceince from my misspent childhood. 

I did have one, despite playing in dirt for most of it.

Being the child of a Canadian soldier and since it is ussually winter here, well we used to have winter.  Hockey was a big thing while in my formative years. Yes I did inflict the assorted wounds that are normally aquired during hockey play, my brothers will attest to this fact. Hockey is by nature a contact sport!!

My Father had the priveledge of playing hockey with one of the Bases teams. I did happen to attend one particular game that my Dear Toronto Maple Leafs happened to send there scub squad up to play. I cannot for the life of me remember anything memorial about the game except that there were aa lot of goals scored.  I was watching the game from behind the net that most of the goals were scored into. Unfortunate yes, my dad was in the net. 

The result I guess is that it doesn't matter how good a hockey team Toronto might start out with, they will not disappoint me in the end by not winning the cup. I don't think they even wear them anymore.  However !! I am confident that one day. In the distant and far away future they might.
