| Hand jobs should have less power | Started by: Padrino on Jan 07, '13 10:53 |
|
When I read PC-Whitey's post where he (she?) mentioned that giving someone a hand job basically meant giving them your account, and coupled with another PC-Whitey's post where he (or she?) said that if punishment jailing was coded in, a traitorous RHM could jail the whole crew, it got me thinking about whether should hand jobs have that type of power. It's true, they're in charge when the boss isn't around, but I don't really think they should be able to see the boss's messages and all. Now I'm too lazy to write but you know what I mean, right? |

Hello friend , I believe PC-Whitey was joking.. Or at least I hope so.. Rhm/Lhm and Cls cannot 'jail' there members - only the rhm , their trusted #2 can read there messages , for good reason if the leader is not there and acting in there place.
P.S - Nice title of the thread there friend :) |

I think Hand Jobs have just the right amount of power... of course it all comes down to technique and experience, but usually only the top guys get the best hand jobs. Therefore your fears are unfounded. |

The key element here is still trust. The bottom line is, you give your rh and lh positions to only the person you trust. Explicitely. You have to be confident that your trust in them will not be used wrongfully. Otherwise, you don't give it. |

Hands can now only HQ wack every 5 minutes or so to put a stop to abuse, but in all honesty you should only have someone as RHM who you trust implicitly. |

Well to be fair I never said RHM could jail your members.
It was brought forward as a possible punishment one could give to their members - and all punishments of this type are accessible by RHMs.
RHM's shouldn't have less power because they are MADE to handle the day to day activities of the crew.
I keep trying to explain the immense responsibility of being an RHM, and nobody seems to be listening...
You need your RHM because handling 50+ people and all of their actions especially during a war - is an incredibly difficult task. Answering hundreds of mails can be damn near impossible. RHM's need to be highly trusted individuals because they have these powers, all of which are 100% necessary to help you run daily operations of your crew.
Flash-Fire is referring to a change that was put in place after an incident of abuse of the HQ wack feature. All I was saying in the other thread was: Giving these features to CL/RHM would cause us to come back months later after a similar incident and saying 'well we ought to change this so it doesn't happen again' |

Anyway, what's the benefit of this? Jailing someone? They can be busted out you know? And people get XP for them being busted out... so yeah ... no.
Or are you suggesting that it look something like when someone is admin jailed? Because that's also not a good idea at all because... in the event of a war or something... it would act as protection... and we're seriously not doing that..
RH's have some power... but it's for a reason. LH's have nearly... none. They're best left the way they are. |

So what are you suggesting?
First you said 'no, only if jail punishments were coded not as they are'
then spike comes in and starts talking about the jail thing, and you ask him what the hell he's talking about...
Do you know what you're talking about? What's the suggestion here? |

By Spike's post I can see that he thinks that I suggested that RHMs be capable of jailing members. When I mentioned jailing, what I meant to say was that, in my opinion, RHMs should never be able to jail members should the feature ever come into consideration to be coded in, going with my opinion that RHMs shouldn't be able to do everything a boss can do within a family. |

In short Padrino, the Hand Jobs are imo fine as they are. I don't see how everyone got off track with the jail stuff, I remember the thread your referring to and I remember Whitey's commment in it. But with regard to this suggestion itself that the Hands have too much power, I would have to say I completely disagree. |

RHM's can't do everything that bosses do within a family. They can do a few key things, but generally their job is micromanaging. The power that they have should remain the same. It is in there so that if a boss in under the weather, an RHM can handle most of the daily-goings-on. |
