| Steven Erickson is an Australian author who has finished a 13 or 14 part fantasy series I really enjoyed called the Malazan book of the fallen. It's amazing and as I recall he Co created the universe these books are placed in with his dorm buddy at university, I can't remember his name but if you're looking for a philosophical and metaphysical headfuck then enjoy yourself as I did. | |

Prince of thorns is the first book of a decent trilogy, good if you like an anti hero. The first law books are great. Would recommend 11/10 |

| If you have not read R.A. Salvatore's Drizzt series then I certainly suggest that. Ten books in the main series if I remember correctly, set in forgotten realms. | |

He may be a wordy son of a bitch, but Terry Goodkind created quite the fantastical world in The Sword of Truth series. Fun read. Lots there to keep you occupied. |

His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman - The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass
They have some really cool themes, and unfortunately the media adaptations haven't been great so far. Lets hope HBO does a much better job than the terrible movie they made for the Golden Compass. |

The Red Rising trilogy is fucking fantastic. Plus he's now adding to it so it's more of an Anthology these days. But the first 3 books are outstanding and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise. |

I've heard that American gods is a good Fantasy/ real life mix book. It wasn't really my type of book but other people really loved it
and if you really want a whole serie go for "the wheel of time" by Robert Jordan |

Mark Lawrence work is excellent, as is Joe Abercrombie. Enjoy both. Recently strayed off my usual fare and found "Orconomics" to by J. Zachary Pyke to be pretty good. |

Oh Dark Materials are so good, I love them I wouldn't be that harsh toward the Golden Compass movie though, I'd just like if they did all the trylogy :( |
