An Ode to An Ode | Started by: ProphetOfDeath on Nov 02, '08 04:12 |
After hearing the words of current day poets, one ponders to himself what would be thought of a rhyming prophet. But what would ProphetOfDeath give an ode to? The growing popular speech type of course. I can view the streets from my humble abode, and what do I see? Ode after Ode. One by one they trot along the road. Each a message to be sung, a lung of words to be sowed A feature of love, and their faith bestowed upon those whose name are carved in stone a la mode So when you feel that something is need of being said I suggest you try doing an ode instead For what you say will undoubtedly be seen As a creative way of shining with gleam And what matters most in a mafioso's words is compassion While you can say with words in a normal fashion T'will seem much more beautiful a ration If you use an ode for your reaction Leaves the stand with a small smirk on his face. I'm not trying to slander you awesome Oders. Just trying to spread the joy (Like an Ode to Joy if you will). I hope the idea of an Ode to an Ode gave a few chuckles. |
