Just a small suggestion:

Was just wondering if the crew chat / home city chat could have some sort of symbol to show activity when users are talking, so you know if people are talking in city chat. I think this because its very quiet in there, possibly because it defaults to crew chat, having a physical symbol / colour change would get peoples attention to activity.

Nothing wrong with the idea, but I'd doubt if it'd be worth the time required to code it at the moment.

The current crew/city chat is a very basic proof of concept. There is a far more elaborate and user friendly system planned, but requires a little time to implement (and additional hardware in the form of new servers, which have been purchased but not yet installed afaik). With that in mind, I'm not sure if the time needed to tweak the current system is justified as it'll be replaced/removed once the new system is ready.

Having said that, no harm having a full discussion on the types of things people would like to ensure are present in the new system. So do keep the thoughts and comments rolling in.

Agreed. Plus it's annoying having to click the tab every time you move to a different page.

Perhaps the tabs can be switched so city chat is the default. This would be alot more useful i think.
