Everyone has bad days; they also have amazingly awesome ones as well. Sometimes, however, you have such a crappy day that it's comical how bad things seem to be going. Just when you've spilled your fourth cup of coffee all over yourself, you find out your bank account was charged an overdraft fee and oh, did we mention your car broke down too?

I've had a string of unfortunate days lately. However, my best friend and I recently (finally) saw the movie The Silver Linings Playbook. If you haven't seen it, do it, very cute. What I took from that movie however is that you can always find silver linings in the most horrendous of situations.

So, when you have a bad day, come here and Bitch It Out, then dig deep to find that Silver Lining. And who knows, maybe you'll find your day wasn't as bad after all!

Barring that, misery loves company, so let's all be miserable together. ;)


Bitch It Out
Not my worst day recently, but today was full of small frustrations. After being stuck in traffic for 30 minutes on the way to work, I get to my desk to find out that it is imperative that I pull some paperwork from the workload I did yesterday. To explain briefly: I work at a loan processing center for a chain of banks in my area. My job entails taking all the paperwork (every single sheet) and scanning it to our database so that the documents are accessible in all of the hundreds of branches, right on the computer. So anyway, co-worker comes in, she needs these six documents in particular. My hair is still wet, I have coffee all down the front of me (sixth time in the past two weeks, no fucking joke), I'm still munching on my breakfast and I'm like "...aight". So I head to the shred bin and grab all the work from yesterday (which was two piles that, if put together, came up to about my waist), bring it back to my desk and start going through it piece by piece. Poor lady is like, "Oh, is that all the work from this week?" I look at her with a raised eyebrow and go, "No, this is everything I did yesterday". She kind of bites her lip apologetically and goes, "Oh, well I might've sent it over on Monday."
Fml. Had to go grab the other stack. Found all six pages. Took me an hour (had to cross reference them to account numbers to make sure they were the RIGHT ones). I think she felt bad because she told me I have cute shoes. So on that note...

My Silver Linings
Things haven't been easy for me, but I was told I have cute shoes! And they're old and worn, but cute! Woo! I also realized I have some pretty awesome people in my life, especially here on MR. (You guys know who you are. <3)

My Silver Linings
Next day was my birthday so had a massive feast at home then booked a hotel room at one of the best hotels in Sydney followed by drinking at a German pub and getting the bar tab up to near $800 which was then followed by I believe brief periods of nudity, sex, vomit,(in that order unfortunately) more drinking, getting kicked out, running from police and skinny dipping. I actually don't remember much of that but kinda pieced together the brief moments I do remember with that of my friends plus the photos and videos we found on our phones.

It is a very big silver lining :P

It involved sex and booze, so that is perhaps the BEST silver lining possible. Well done! ;)

I really do hope that vomiting was alcohol induced and nothing to do with the sex. That one could disturb me on a few levels without further clarification mate :P
