Okay so Alexander Gustafsson was set to fight Gegard Mousasi on April 6th in Stockholm, Sweden in a light heavyweight showdown, how ever Gustafsson managed to get a cut above his eye a few days ago but was declared unfit to fight due to the cut.
So they need a replacement on a few days notice and no one appears to step up so they go with unknown fighter Ilir Latifi with a record of 8-2, on the bright side he is a training partner of Gustafsson so they didn't have to fly a new guy in. Everyone is ruling Ilir Latifi out but to me this makes me think of Rocky Balboa , a man given a chance out of the blue.
So will passion beat logic and will the unknown fighter emerge as the winner come Saturday?

Latifi didn't win but he went the distance , for a guy that stepped up on short notice he did pretty good.
Sure he lost the decision, but he never gave up. |
