Kermit the Frog here and today I will speak with you all about an issue in our world. The 48 hour rule...... You can't kill an un-sponsored gangster who has only graced our shores for less then 48 hours. What do I think of this? I think there are other ways to go about combating this situation of killing the innocents and the homeless. The first and obvious way to do this is to auth another crew leader. On that note, congrats to Nova on his new position as a family head. I am sure you will do wonderful things with this opportunity. Another way was brought up by the late Rhett. Having un-sponsoreds in his city with his family name in their profile offering slight protection. It seems that as soon as he died we threw this idea to the wind. Now, granted it has its faults and could be improved, but it did offer a slight alternative to everyone bitching, "Everyone is dying and now no one will move from the old country to America!!!" He instated a daily tax, though in my eyes was rather steep, that would give the crew leader some incentive to protect a few extra members. A new alternative that comes to mind is possibly creating a position within the family. This new position, which could be comprised of several people, would look for new civilians and thugs and offer to help them. This can just be something small, such as a tip or other offering of help—something that you may not have been told when you arrived to these shores. Now I realize most of you think that members of the new world should simply take it upon themselves to reach out and help, but let's be realistic, not everyone wants to help everyone. I know in every crew there are members that are just dying to help out in the crew. Well, here is their chance! Also, the benefits of having a few people looking for civilians to potentially take under their "wing" will allow them to see your crew first, increasing the chance that you may have another member requesting an invite. This is just my opinion of the current state of things. I fully realize that the leaders are tired from the latest war, and this is in no way picking at them. I am just offering my opinion so that in later cases the situation may be handled in a different way. Thank you for your time and please feel free to leave your comments and criticisms. You're right. There are many options that crew leaders face in order to ensure that the unsponsoreds are not unjustly killed before they have the opportunity to seek shelter and employment. I'm not entirely sure which solution is the best, as I've seen all three enacted. I'm sure any of these options would be an adequate solution if enforced. Every family has to agree on a solution or the proposed idea will fail time and time again. Of course, the ultimate solution to the problem would be to have an adequate number of crew leaders for all of the members and have those crewleaders work in harmony. I suppose we'll see what happens. |
