With regards to your comment Eps1lon, it is vitally important to house the hundreds of members who need it, however I have no doubt about JakeLuciano's ability, it is not your place to assess someones suitability for auth.

Of course it is my place. I am one of those hundreds of homeless. Clearly people don't care about who they follow as long as they feel safe because of it. I am far fussier about who I choose to serve. For me it is something that is until death. I am not into side hopping or sitting idly in a family.

Eps1lon, we have around 30 active people Wise Guy (25) (and 34 inactive) with a higher rank. Yet we are selectively authing those we see fit for the job. JakeLuciano is a quality auth and you'll realize that in time. When auths are made we do not just look at rank or BG status, you know those things  a "humble gangster" can see. We look at a lot more. However, this is not the time or place for that debate. Just note that we're not randomly authing who is available. JakeLuciano and the others have our full support and trust they will do great. 

a 98 day old boss. gee, he has been working hard. a 93 day old made man. Even a harder worker. Legitimate auths my ass. Another is a drunk who can't be bothered most of the time. They would not have been given these spots in any other time. Now they are great choices? Hell no. what they amount to is the only choices.

I realize there were very few choices but these should not be permament auths.

By virtue of the fact they are alive means that for the better part of a 4 day war they were not present. This doesn't seem like the "quality auth" candidates to me....

I appreciate the difficulty in authing right now, but don't attempt to bullshit a bullshitter...

I suppose the proof will definitely be in the pudding and I hope Jake or whatever his name is doesn't feel as if this is a personal attack on him. It's on all the auth's really.

These are one of those times when some of us have to bite the proverbial bullet and just get on with things. Deal with it.

Nice of you to share my opinions for me. I am however not a believer that everyone needs to be house. I firmly believe this world can exist fairly peacefully with unsponsored being allowed to rank up a bit and decide for themselves after gaining some exposure to the various leader, where they want to go.

Providing regulations are put in place to protect these people obviously. I don't know how someone visiting these shores can be expected to pick someone at random and swear undying allegiance to them... It's retarded.

I'd rather have 1 CL and 400 people without a family, than 10 families led by people who have no clue. Not to say these people have no clue, but you get my point.

Really though? What was the rush? You were never going to have enough auth's to fill the need, so why not just leave it for a while? Put some regulations in place protecting the unsponsored for a few weeks and wait for solid candidates to rank up... You can't wait 11 days?

Why should exceptions be made for you? Just because you think this world can still go on having unsponsored, doesnt change the fact the current set of powers do not believe that. I'm not disagreeing with your theory... I too believe that it would be possible for this world to exist peacefully with unsponsored being relatively safe.

But this is not about you and I, the people in charge have most definitely earned the right to do things their way, so like I said... you're just going to have to deal with it.

I have accepted them already, all i wanted to do was a have a discussion about them. In a rebuilding phase you need a solid foundation. This isn't it. Will it change? No.... But it's worth talking about.

I would say it is more than the two of you since Eps is far from the only one unsposored? Could the attitude "deal with it" not lead to these unsponsored saying "screw this .. I will not have my hand forced" and walking away? That would be rather detrimental to this thing of ours.

Frankly, I do not care. I will die every 24 hours of my own accord until there is something acceptable either worked out or available. I was CH but I believe these people deserve the right not to be forced into a permanent decision.

The point is to house them until such a time that someone these strays (excuse the expression, I am sure it is the wrong word but I'm mentally drained) have temporary shelter and can build without dying.

I fought hard for CH, I gave everything I had and made some miracles happen for CH, I pro'd GF's when I should have been shooting, I believed in the cause and did everything asked of me.

On the flip side, I have compassion for those that are seeking homes. There has to be a batter answer than "deal with it" and ALL leaders should be offering temporary housing including anyone else authed to make homes. Frank is on the right track with temporary auths for housing.
