| God's Lonely Man | Started by: TravisBickle on May 15, '13 00:49 |

Travis wonders aimlessly around in the streets. He looks at all the families and crews posted on a bulletin running his fingers over the name. The sun was setting in the west over the city he was in. An empty city with no names to go with it. Travis felt his inside pockets looking for letters but came up empty. He had forgotten that no one has written his father nor him. Nor did his father get a response from anyone that his father had mailed about employment Travis sat there on the steps of a empty store front. He looked around the empty city streets. There was no one that he could turn to for help...He was "god's lonely man." Well..., Travis said to himself. If I can't find any help then I will just have to make it on my own. And if I can't do it then my son will. Or my son's son. Travis sighed one last time at the empty streets. He would never look back again. Only forward. For today starts the first day of being his own boss. |

I think they consider that being a rogue. But I really enjoyed this street post. |

Travis looked at the man puzzled. Rogue? I prefer the term self employed, self contractor...I am no one's enemy and I am no ones friend. Hell, I don't even know anyone to be friends or enemies with sir. Travis runs his fingers over the names on the bulletin board again just to make sure. No, I believe I don't know anyone to be enemies with indeed. |

I am thinking so much for offering a lost mobster a place to hang his hat. This pretty much sums up the problem. There are a ton of lost souls with nowhere to go. Correct me if I am wrong Squishy, but are there not at least 125 homeless individuals out there right now (something tells me that is very conservative.) Something is very wrong when people actively SEEK a home and do not get replies. Very wrong indeed. |

"If I'm not mistaken, this man wants to set up his own HQ without authorization from the other crew leaders? Yeah ha, if only there was an experiment buddy!" Prescott shakes his head as he walks away because he hated seeing another gangster with potential in the orbits. |

Travis heard the commotion and decided to cut in again. It's true my kin did try to find himself a home. In his last dying words he told me, "Travis Jr, if you can't find a home do not fret, do not get angry, do not hold a grudge. Just try to survive." So, I will respect my father's wishes. If I can't find a home then I will make myself a home. And I would hope that the fine people of these prestigious cities would understand, I'm just trying to live. If there's no room I understand but don't kill me for trying to make myself my own home within an abandoned city. I have no choice. Thank you all for listening. |

I cannot speak for the crew leaders that failed to respond to this man so I won't speak on that subject. I'm just throwing up an ideal that could possibly catch the interest of someone that has the power to pursue it. Good luck on your adventure Travis! |

G was picking his way through the streets. The stench of blood and bullets was still filling his nostrils. G saw a small crowd beginning to gather and listened in intently. Travis I like your words and I commend your attitude in the sense of survival. I understand what you are saying and it has been tough for all involved. Earlier on I was turning people away because we were full. Now we are are able to expand our operations. In terms of not replying to correspondence if my boss conversations are anything to go by some are getting missed due to the sheer volume. Travis if you would like to have a chat in private and I will see if I can assist you. |

Stormvind shakes his head, watching this lonely soul...
If you don't look for help, you will not find it. You can't just seek response from a few families (even though i agree they should have responded) and not all. You have to look until you find. Had you been trying to seek a response from all the families i would have supported your reasons.
If you're gonna get your own family without permission, i'm not going to say anything about that. I did the same. I just think this reason is about 2 days late to be a valid reason. Many of the existing families now have the ability to house many "lonely souls".
I wish you the best of luck though, and i hope you find the happiness that you seek. |

Not only did I try. But lets just say my bloodline has died 3 times during the war trying to get into a family with only one success. That family which -Mayhem- lead for a few hours was struck down. So please believe me when I say my bloodline has tried, even went back to a old friend but still got no response. I'm not complaining just explaining that this is the reason why I feel I must build my own home and to help others like myself. All I ask from the leaders of the world is to give me a pass to help others like myself find a place, a group to join. I seek peace and a chance. That's it. My bloodline has been in the shadows here for half a decade now and I know the ropes. Just a chance for a change of pace. Root for the underdogs of this world. |

I am honestly surprised it is this hard to get a home, when i have seen offline semi ia's or inactives offered invites to families. If only targeting specific families i can understand problems such as needing sponsors online but a reply if online is not hard. it took me about 5 minutes to regain crewed status after mayhems death with multiple offers |

Then that sir would bring up a great question as to why I didn't get an answer when you did. Is it that your bloodline is known and mine chooses to start anonymous after each death? Is it that it's a huge coincidence that all my mails were lost in the chaos? Possible. Or is it there was no room at the time or maybe even just plain ignored mail? Who knows. All I know is that I started this thing, made a big deal of it and now me and my bloodline will lay in it. Because I'm 100% positive I will die for this. But as my father always said, you can't win the race if you never even started to begin with. So there it is, take it or leave it. Kill me or don't. The world will decide my fate every bloodline. And I understand why people don't want to join me and if the shoe was on the other foot, I probably wouldn't join either...unless I had nothing to lose... |
