As we continue to offer housing to the many unsponsoreds around at the moment, Solastalgia has been given permission to set up within Chicago until we can auth a more permanent Captain.

Thank you for all of your well wishes and kind words - I'm looking forward to starting work on rebuilding immediately.

With that said, while for the very large part a good portion of the remaining homeless have been very patient with us while we try to sort out housing, I should remind a select few that this war has traded months on top of months of hard work, organization and stability for chaos and confusion; we aren't going to revert back to that kind of order overnight, but we're whipping our earners working as fast as we can to get things back on track so we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief, so please bear with us in the meantime.

As she sits on a bench in the park admiring the view.. of the grannies and their purses.. and feeding the ducks she overhears the announcement of a new leader and smiles. She had heard of this gentleman from her mother, sister, aunt, uncle, niece, grandmother, pet rabbit, Floury Tortoises pet monkeys.. and so on and so on... before. After nicking a purse from a poor, blind, toothless granny she finds her way to Solastalgia.

Hello there sir, I do hope that my direct approach doesn't send shivers of fear down your spine. I've admired you from afar since I was seventeen. It seems my family knows your family and I would just like to take the time to congratulate you on behalf of my entire bloodline, past, present, and future. You have in some way convinced the powers that be to entrust you with the innocent minds and hearts of those new to our shores and those following in their ancestors' footsteps. I hope they know what they're getting themselves into by doing this. From what I've been told and have read in my predecessors' journals you definitely have withstood the dust in the wind after a few upheavals and know what you are doing. I do recognize your face from photos at our family cottage in Shoreside, just up the road from the Yellow Pharmacy in Los Angeles. 

I look forward to seeing you out and about, maybe we can have a less informal meeting sometime. I am a fan of coffee, some call me the Java Queen even.  There must be something in the air tonight, I feel giddy. Maybe it's just the winds of change. For now we must be going our separate ways, I see a flock of seagulls to watch in the park.
