What, exactly, did he lose? Seems to me he got ~100 kills to his one death. With dedication and some patience, they could do this repeatedly and still never 'lose'.

I am not condoning his actions, or the fact that they try to include some made-up religion into the mix. (All religions are made up, we've had this discussion before) but, at least this group has the balls to at least attempt to do something different, and it seems to me they enjoy doing it.

You bash him for not conforming, while they bash you for being a conformist...you're all going around in circles. Anyone coming to these streets to belittle a person or group is in the same boat as the person or group you are belittling. No one of you is better than any other.

In my personal opinion, we need more groups like this to make our world interesting. We're only a month past the huge war, and things are already back to the same way they were.

Alot of you may be content to hold hands, pat each other on the ass, and say good job for doing nothing but sitting on your ass hoping not to get shot, this group doesn't seem to be so content. That,  I applaud them for.

Think you might have got that bit wrong there. One death? I would suggest a minimum of 3 dead bodies accounting for the bodyguards that died. Each of these dead people would likely have trained at least 10 times with their weapon too before being skilled enough to fire it, each training session at a minimum cost of 50,000 dollars.. so least just say they all paid 500k before setting on their way to shooting. We now have the shooters cost of 1.5 million.

Now, the BGs they shot cost around 50k each also. So really what was gained here? A heck of a lot of time and effort for the shooter to have very little real impact if were honest.

Sure, its fucking annoying as hell getting your Bodyguards attacked.. but its not the end of the world. I would have to say I agree with DaKine on this one, overall, time and effort vs reward, the shooters are the ones that have lost. The rest of the criminal world has maybe lost a few Bodyguards here and there, but they gained the experience of working together as not only a family, or a city, but as a community to try and catch the shooter. This is invaluable to me, it shows the world that we are truly trying to rebuild and work with each other.

AlabamaWorley, all the mention of what the shooters spent on training or what not seems pointless. If they were to lose just based off that they probably wouldn't have done it. For them "to lose" in that case they would likely have to care about the money put into their cause and I don't think they do or did. Otherwise why would they have used it?

They clearly feel they gained something or they wouldn't be in the streets I imagine.

This just sounds silly to me. Sure, we take turns "keeping watch" for the shooters, but is there any real effort required to make things work between cities? It's not like there's massive differences between them, apart from sheer size. There's no tension between the cities or anything but pure peace and prosperity. We've been rebuilt, and this is what hegemony looks like. Lots of "working together", as if any crew or district has any other option? If they help out, they catch the shooter and less damages to their men. If they don't, they look like they're part of the group, and would be subsequently removed for not playing along.

Except we all know exactly how this will end. It has been the ruin of many CLs, a few cities, and even an empire. Eventually, this BG shooting will cause tension between the crews as the BG shooters are found and shot. The CL of the shooter has to pay for the BGs slain, even if the damages aren't in their crew. Once one of these BG shooters accomplishes enough damage to outweigh any terms of restitution (and trust me, this day will come), a city, or a district, or even just one crew will take action against another. 

Or maybe it will be less subtle, and one of the paranoid CLs takes action against the friends of the BG shooters, regardless of whether or not they've taken part in the BG hitting. It causes tension, distrust, anger, and eventually turmoil. That is what these BG shooters gain. Luckily, so long as Chicago is quite simply fucking impregnable, the hegemony will persist, and everyone will gather "invaluable experience" working as a team. 

Fortunately, this is one case where the recent changes in BG pricing hinders the BG shooters. Typically, they'd target someone who acquired a lot of BGs when they were cheap, then shot at them as they got more expensive. This meant that the original money spent on BGs was less than the damages, and someone (presumably the CL of the shooter) would be expected to cover the increased cost. Since BGs are cheaper for the 99% (which is the only targets the Brotherhood appear to pick), and the prices do not increase with rank, the money required is never over 500k per shot. So, at least it's easier now for us to "work together", because previously this type of BG shooting was ending cities.
