A young new Rourke among these shores? Surely this is a mistake. Yet, as you look up on the local soapbox, a man wearing a nice suit with the name tag TelkinRourke is making a speech. " Ladies and gentleman, i come to you here today to discuss gambling. Now i know not all of you gamble, and that's fine. However there are some of us Cough Striphe cough and myself, as well as many others i'm sure that cannot get enough of it. " Licking his lips a lot, you can tell he is nervous, but he continues " There are many good things that can come from gambling. You can get a lot of money really fast. As a mafioso there is other ways to make money; like drug running, and knocking up local Seven Eleven's, but really, the fastest way is to gamble. The money in most cases just gets recycled into the never ending gambling circle, but in some cases it is put to good use. If you have a really good sense of knowing when to hold em, knowing when to fold em, and knowing when to walk away then please speak up for those of us who don't. " Wiping sweat from his brow, licking his lips even more now than before, TelkinRourke continues, " The funds that you may make from gambling that you don't waste in gambling more, can be put to excellent use. You could use it to train your weapon, buy some drugs, or even donate to your boss. Those of you who scorn on those of us who gamble just remember, we're usually the one's who have the money to begin with. We know what we're doing most of the time. " " Now as with every good argument, the cons are due to be mentioned at some point, so let me do the honors. You can lose lots of money, really fast. There, that's that argument wrapped up in a pretty little box with a bow. Really, other than the risk of losing money extremely fast, what are the other cons of gambling? I come to you folks today on your thoughts; whether they be pro's, con's, or just experiences in general, on gambling. " TelkinRourke steps off of the soapbox into the crowd and waits on people's thoughts. |

Nelson thinks and begins to speak Well people like me get carried away. The con is that you win loads of games thinking you can't possible lose. Then you go again and lose and think I'd get that back but then you lose everything you won and possible even more. |

Cav hears the man speak and takes one last draw off his cigar and stomps it out giving out a gasp in anguish You wanna know what I think of gambling? me personally...Ive been carrying around a little piece of paper in my back pocket for the last couple of months trying to get my good friend out of the casinos. Gambling can cost you everything. Some people just dont know when to quit. Me personally, the most Ive ever lost is 300 grand, not near as much as Ive seen before my eyes in some of these casinos. Yes its fun, daring, adrenaline rush but at the same time is it really worth it? My answer to you is no. Lights another cigar and walks off to the nearest bar for a drink to 3hrs sobriety... |

Carmine_Deluca steps up from among the crowd and begins to speak A very interesting subject non the less, my views on gambling are quite simple. One I find it to be for enjoyment, some people like to gamble, sometimes a little too much if you understand what I mean. And for those who have a problem, its a test of will power really. And when you do blow it all,remember you had the choice not to roll the die. Two, there is a vast amout of money to be made when running a gambling house, your handing people dreams for cash.I feel there is no need to get into how much profits gambling houses bring in, because Im sure all of you can immagine. So i would say gambling is good for the comunity, a place where a bunch of wiseguys get together to drop 20 large on the tables, you've got to love it. You know that since he's connected, he is man of honor, a man to be trusted".... ....then he mumbled something unintelligable that sounded sort of like Russian and slipped back into the mass of huddled bodies.....if not for the lingering scent of 100 proof smirnov, you might not have been able to say if he hed been there at all.... |

| Well, my father left records of his gambling at the blackjack tables.... let's just say, he could have bought quite a few bodyguards, and donated a lot of money, and still been rich. | |

| I've found moderate success with a $5K-base progressive betting scheme. It's nice for rounding up zeros in the bank account, but if you get greedy you'll get burned. Swing for the fences and usually you end up whiffing. | |
