A charming young man steps on to a carboard box. Then he continues to speak to the crowds that have approached him. "Hello everyone i was thinking about starting a new story featuring anybody who would like to be in it. I will be selling of part(roles) in this story it will be a multi part story" Then he steps off and goes and tapes a piece of paper to a wall behind him, it reads as followed:
Small side role: $7,500 A honorable but still side role: $20,000 A fairly noticable role: $60,000 A villian of the story (needing 2): $100,000 The boss of the heros in the story:$150,000 A member of villians or heros:$32,500
(Family and friends get 50% discount some may recieve free spots if asked for) And no payment will be necessary until story is finished but not posted this will stay up about 3 days before i begin writing my first part of the story. Just request to me that you want the part and show proof that you can pay the money when it comes time.
he then steps back onto the box and says
If you want in it the prices are listed behind me
he steps off and waits for people in the crowd to begin speaking |

After standing there for quiet a long time he then steps back onto the box and says
Ok I think the prices may be a little steep so heres what Ill do. Anybody form west Side, Chicago gets free parts. Anybody from other neighborhoods get parts at 50% off.
he then wait for someone to speak once again.. |

Listening intently, Ilona's eyes furrow in confusion as the undecided man keeps stepping on and off a box, seemingly unsure of where he wants to stand or perhaps milking the structure for its aerobic benefits. "Perhaps I'm confused, sir. In fact, I'm certain I must be. You seem to be looking for actors to participate in a production of yours, but in order to be included, you're asking that the actors PAY you? I'm sorry, I thought these things normally went the other way, where the cast was PAID for their hard work and contribution to the show." Curious, she couldn't find the man now, as he'd stepped off once again and it was hard to see where he'd stepped off to. And having an empty box just out in the middle of the street could surely cause someone harm if they were to trip on it accidentally, or not see it as they were motoring along. "Do you have some kind of credentials or previous castings and productions to show that would make these actors and actresses clamor to be on your stage. Mind you I'm asking out of curiosity. I have at one time fancied myself a small-stage girl, I'm just befuddled with this interestingly backwards way you seem to be recruiting your credits list." |

The man doesnt get back on the box in turn he stands there listening to the lady then he in turn speaks
"No I am an author Im not looking for actors the reason I ask people to pay is because decent pieces of literature take time to write time that i could be making money this is why I ask people to pay."
he then stands waiting patiently for her to speak again. |

Shaking her head, Ilona's cheeks flush. "Silly me, I'll blame it on my very tired and overworked brain. But of course, in an effort to make sure I'm not completely dim-witted and understand, you are an author, not a producer, and you wish people to pay you to use their names as a likeness in your story? Why that's delightful and I can certainly see where there would be a cost associated with that. To be a villain," Ilona dreamed, conjuring images in her mind of handsome heroes and evil cads with twisting moustaches and garishly carved canes. "Oh what fun!" "But alas," she sighed, "it's just so much in this troubled economy. I do wish you the best. Perhaps I can afford a small print edition when you're complete." |
