| Split up the Felonies. | Started by: Gohan on Jun 30, '13 04:12 |

I love the new lockpicking and safe cracking felonies, they are something new and exciting that the game hasn't seen the likes of yet. Adding a visual crime system was an excellent addition. However I dislike the fact that there are now 15 felonies you csn do. You can felony once every twelve minutes. This means that getting the achievements for each type of lockpick/safe crack would be ridiculously time consuming and difficult to do, even at the first achievement tier. Now I have two suggestions on how to fix this. 1 Split the basic, lockpick, and safe crack into three separate degree felonies, each with a different timer. Whichever type would be considered "hardest" would have the longest timer, say 15 mins, then one at 12 mins, and the easiest at 9 mins. I think giving people 4 crime timers would be something that would keep people online longer, as there are more things to do in an hour. However this could clutter up and make things confusing. 2 Remove all the different lockpicking/safe crack crimes. Make it so that when you "rob a bank" you have to crack the safe. When you "do a truck heist" you have to pick the lock of the truck door. I suppose that would make prostitution ring the basic crime, as I doubt the admins would make a little pimping minigame like the lockpicking/safe cracking :P Looking forward to feedback. |

| I love the second option. Make it a little harder to get to money, not just two clicks. | |

Another alternative would be to tie the different tiered felonies together for the achievments. Instead of the "Corner Contractor" achievement and it's counter parts, you'd have 1 basic felony achievement that is worked toward whether you're running a prostitution ring, picking a basic lock, or cracking a basic safe. This would allow the freedom of choice as to which felonies a person prefers to use, would reduce the amount of free cash/credits/xp given away by reducing the number of achievements that can be earned, and would not necessitate changing the coding for the existing felonies or timers. |

I think the second option is a really good idea. Or at least the achievements could be a lot easier and they wouldn't take the rest of your life to finish |
