Well, we don't like to pat our own backs too much but...Actually, no, that's a total lie. We love to pat our backs, and with good reason. The first week of the BALB Commission's sanctioned fights are over and they were a roaring success. For anyone who was unlucky enough not to have seen the action; you missed an adrenaline-fueled, action-packed fight night classic. There was trash talking, dirty moves, bold challenges and over $12 million wagered collectively on the fights. Now, based on the feedback we received from last week's punters and boxers and on how events actually unfolded on the night, we've made a few changes to the format and the structure moving forward. For full details on the general rules of BALB Commission Boxing and for updates made to fights themselves, and the overall layout of fight night, check here. UNDERCARDS As you'll notice, one of the big changes for the undercard fights is there is now unlimited participation. We will keep adding fights to the schedule to accommodate everyone. In the unlikely event that there is an 'odd boxer out', the last person to register will have their buy in returned and will be first on the list for the following week. - Buy ins for undercard fights are set at a standard fee of $500k - 15% of the prize pot will be taken by the BALB Commission as a management fee - Fights are decided over 3 rounds, and then on cumulative points if scores are equal. In the event of a tie the boxers will have their money returned - Undercard fights will not be scheduled for a specific time; instead they will be completed gradually before the start of the main event action. You don't have to be in the coffeeshops or even pounding the pavements to take part! (Check the rules for full info on this) It probably hasn't escaped your notice that in the first week we took no fee, and this week we are. This may upset you, but keep holding that rattle! Don't throw it out of your pram yet! We are introducing a comprehensive prize structure this week that will benefit loyal boxers, and even things out for the unlucky boxers who might get a bad break here and there:
MAIN EVENTS Main events are getting bigger and they're getting better. Starting from this week, we'll be having three main event fights on Fight Night with varying buy ins. - Main events will now be held over 5 rounds, not 6. - You can now use dirty tactics up to 3 times in one bout - but careful! The ref might call you on your shit! Check the rules to make sure you don't fall foul of them. - You will need to provide a 'second' to be a main event fighter, until you do this, your place in the main event will not be guaranteed. If you or your second are not available for the fight and you don't give us 24 hours notice, your buy in fee will be forfeit and the fight will be void - As with the undercard fights, 15% of the buy in will be taken by the BALB Commission as a management fee. This week's main events will be taking place at specific times. In the event that 2 boxers are signed up to a fight and would both like to change the time, please speak to myself or the delectable Alabama. Any fight-time changes are subject to her or myself being available so there are no guarantees.

Dalton noticed Sammy had signed up to go against him again. I really enjoyed our match last week, and I'm happy to give you a rematch. I suggest you bring your A game though, because I won't be giving the title away easily. May the best man win. |

Althea walks in to the arena and looks around. Finally she spots Cantona and makes her way over to him. I had my accountant wire you some money a short while ago as my entry fee. My name's Althea. I notice everyone else has snazzy little nicknames. I've never been one good with names, so would you mind filling one of those in for me? She smiles coyly at Cantona and makes a mental note not to wear heels in the ring. She glances down and signs her name to the undercard fights and strolls toward the locker room waiting to be informed who her opponent would be. |

Alabama makes a mental note to arrange for a scary nickname for Althea Looking forward to the Dalton vs Sammy rematch! Last weeks was a good fight, hopefully this one will be too. Once the Main Events are filled i'll be posting the odds for any gamblers wishing to bet some money on them. Undercards will again be limited to Win/Lose/Draw odds. |

Seems we are still awaiting a Challenger for McDermott and JessiePinkman in their Main Event Fights. Is there anyone out there brave enough to take them on? McDermott won his fight last week and is no push over, Jessie is entering the ring for the first time and is an unknown quantity. |

You'll have to forgive me for wishing away time - the Fight Night is indeed this Sunday, not the following Sunday. So far, the fight schedule is looking like this, with one final main-event place up for grabs and unlimited places in the undercard bouts available: UNDERCARDS Arthur 'Pain' Dayne v Prometheus 'The Titan - $850,000 purse
Just to reiterate, one the final main event slot is full, there will be no further main events. However, once we have found a match up for Imhotep in the undercard bouts, we will still continue taking on new fighters after that - the amount of undercard fights available are totally unlimited! Another reminder for the main event boxers; we strongly recommend you register a second who can take your place in the event you are unable to fight for any reason. If you are not available and you have no second, you will forfeit the fight! |

Due to some unwanted attention from the law (I'm not actually going to be here tonight for various reasons) we'll be pushing back this week's action to MONDAY 22ND JULY. The updated schedule is as follows, in chronological order:
Bout 1, Monday 22nd July @ 8:00pm Mafia Time. $1,700,000 prize purse Bout 3, Monday 22nd July @ 10:00pm Mafia Time. $3,400,000 prize purse Bout 2, Tuesday 23rd July @ 01:30am Mafia Time. $2,550,000 prize purse (Pending Confirmation!)
Although all the boxers have provisionally agreed to this in private, please let me know if there's any changes. As ever, the undercard fights will be completed in the time slot between Bout 1 and Bout 3 (9pm-10pm mafia time) |
