Loss | Started by: Draven_Lynn on Nov 29, '08 12:04 |
Draven steps out of the flower shop holding a single red rose and slowly walks over to the soap box. Holding the rose to her nose she takes a breath in and looks upon those standing in front of her. Sorrow fills her heart, as she begins to speak. Fellow Mafioso. Loss, in this world, is inevitable. War will happen and people will die. Pausing a bit she takes a deep breath and chokes back her tears. Remember those that have fallen and smile for regardless who's side or where they came from because they died honorably. Most worked hard and achieved great things, amongst all sides, and for that we should learn from them. I pray that their children will walk these streets along side of all of us; not after revenge or full of hate but with the determination that their mothers and fathers showed to help their families flourish and thrive. Stepping down off the soap box Draven lays the rose that she held close to her heart on the ground. Rest in Peace all those that have fallen. |

*starts to cry after hearing what Draven_Lynn said.* You are right, it doesn't matter which side won, there will be losses on both sides not matter what. |

Flicks down his lit cigarette and steps from the darkness of a nearby alleyway It's always a tragedy, the loss of lives. Hard working mafioso' shot down in their prime due to a war they did not start, but purely for whom they sided with upon entering this world of crime do their lives come to an end. War is an ugly thing, but within our world breeds new life, new beginnings. I will not shed a tear for those who have perished, but do wish for the best in the afterlife, and will hope that the new beginnings we are seeing here are indeed worth the bloodshed. |

Nods her head while she listens to Draven speak Well spoken Draven...your mother taught you well, may she RIP, and may all of the fallen rest peacefully. Tempe lowers her head, and a tear slides down her cheek, as the memories of the fallen, including her mother flood over her. |

We all know the fate we choose. We as well as our fathers decide the life we lead. No-one else. I would also like to pay my respects to the friends we have all lost over the last 48 hours. Things happen for a reason and we move on. That is life. ~Mikomi takes a cigarette from his worn looking jacket pocket and proceeds to light it~ We will all eventually join our fathers but its what we do in the meantime to make a difference that counts |

Listens to the words spoken with a bowed head Loss is something that we all have to deal with in our line of work, it's always sad to see friends fall be it by war, insaneness or other. What we must do is remember who they were and hope that they send their offspring to be amongst us and bring what they brought to our lives. |
